Being a drama queen is a bad thing?

Over this story

Short version of the convo:

Me: Continuous year long deployments can be hard on a marriage.

Her: Any marriage is hard.

Me: Very true, I just think deployments and not seeing your husband for year long stints at a time would be added strain.

Her: Some crap about her first year of marriage and it being hard but she dealt with it.

Me: Agreeing, not saying we dont deal with, just saying its hard.

Her: We should always put a positive spin on it for the media.

Me: Boggle

Her: much gnashing of teeth and temper throwing

That's mild. I was waiting to hear all about tears and hurtful accusations.
As for your question, I don't think gender determines who is and isn't a drama queen. Bhodi, of course, is my prime example.

It was hilarious. Last meeting was about some lady being PO'd she'd gotten written up for her grass being out of regs. Didnt they KNOW her husband was gone? Yeah, cause grass isn't suppossed to continue growing while your husband is deployed. Before that? That someone wore an innapropriatly short dress to the ice cream formal. Someone shoot me, these women are more than I can take.

lol That is why, after growing up a Navy-Brat, I refused to date/marry anyone in the service. My thoughts are with you, having to deal with these women. My mom was once told she couldn't take us to the "enlisted beach" because she was an Officer's wife. F*ck that. It was just us and the jellyfish on the "officer's beach."

Lol yeah. We had a wife that was an In-Home DayCare provider. She had a lady tell her that because of her husband being an offier and the day care provider's being enlisted that she'd not be able to sit for her children. Tried to say it was against regs. Yeah, so that means if the enlisted spouse works at a store, a tire place or a hospital the Officer spouse is just **** out of luck with getting any help, right? Lol.

Lmao^^

Like we were better than anyone else >.< My dad would go to a white-glove dinner, then come home and watch the Simpson's and Married With Children. One hand in his waistband, able to belch my mom's "pet name" he had for her and have me crack him open a beer.

I have been into these women's bathrooms and lemme tell ya, it ain't roses coming out their rears, no matter what they want to pretend. We were always kept grounded in reality ~.O

I don't go to any of the spousal/family support meetings anymore. I went when hubby and I first got married and I had ideas that the meetings were actually held so the spouses could support one another and make friends. Nope, they were more about complaining, generall *********** back-stabbing and gossiping. I think I went to 2 meetings and that was about it.

That's not a very princess-y answer. And that's a "fact" too.

Okay, I'll explain to you why women are such drama queens.

But first you explain to me why men can't seem to stop killing people.

And raping children too!

#22REDACTED, Posted: Oct 14 2006 at 9:01 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok. Can't super-suposses can before any negative, not to mention seem ain't necessarily in all cases is, kid. 'Cause as we all culturally know, it ain't rape if it involves a younger man and an older woman. He *chooses* whether to be hard or not, not to mention who's in and out of the circle of trust. Good enough? Drama Queen explanation now please. But man=men maam, sounds like a promising hypothetical upon which to begun psyhco-socio-babble which pays. People to bow down are required for a Queen to be a Queen, wo- is us or wo- is not 'our' feminine "side", which presupposes 'your' masculine "side". Good vs. Evil. Right vs. Wrong. Stop vs. Go.

No. Anyone ever confuse you for one?

Name the movie.

It was the movie Aliens and it's not Sanchez, it's Vasquez. and the quote is:

Quote:
Hudson: Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?
Vasquez: No, have you?

/ma "Edit" <thread>

That's 2.5 hours, +, of top #1-#10 replies on this board, an artificial once again faux pas I think not. Like everyone who read didn't choose to not reply. Why Terry Gilliam?

I think I just had an aneurism. Does your brain actually think in incoherent babble?

14 Super computers just crashed trying to read that.
