The romantic - a favourite in Hollywood films in which the woman lies with her head and arm on a man's chest - was named by 4%.

So how do you and your other half prefer to stack Z's?

(4% here - There is no spoon)

My arm goes to sleep if she lays on my chest. Not to mention the whole hair tickling my face just as I'm about to drop off to dreamland. We sleep back to back, but with a few inches of space between us.

The girl is in the 4% group as well. I asked her why she liked sleeping with her head on my chest, she says it's a comfort thing, she hears my heart and I guess that makes her feel safe. It's all fun and games until I get an alien busting out of my chest.

We spoon with me behind him. I like to throw my leg over him too, occasionally. Mr. Tare snores though so most often I sleep in the spare bed for a few hours and then go back to our bed in the morning for some cuddle time.

When we're both really sleeping good, it's usually back to back, and a lot of the time we're touching. But in those morning hours when we're semi-awake, we spoon with either him or me behind.

This thread makes me want to go back to bed, but my son is up now. Smiley: frown

I like a good spoon before we go to sleep, or when we're waking up, but when I'm sleeping, I can't have anything except the covers touching me. He usually sleeps with his back toward me, I tend to flip several times during the night between facing him and not facing him, due to a bad hip that sometimes wants the pressure of me lying on it, and sometimes doesn't.

I can't do the whole laying on his chest thing--sure, one arm goes across him, but the other arm gets trapped beneath me or between the two of us, and it's not very comfortable.

We usually start face-to-face with my arm around her, but then we switch to back-to-back, slightly apart, for the majority of the night.

Being the bachelor I am, I prefer the fetal position.

Smiley: frown That's no good (the having to go off to the spare bed just to get sleep, I mean). Has he tried Breathe Right strips yet, or does he refuse to on the grounds that they just look too damn weird? (I mean, anything to get him to stop snoring and start breathing while asleep would be good here - snoring's supposedly a bad sign, especially if it stops at random during the night because he's not breathing for a couple of seconds.)

Then again, both my SO and I snore, and apparently I flail around in my sleep as well. However, she throws the covers around at random as well while she's asleep. (Net result: there isn't any sort of consistent position we're both in over the course of the night.)

It's a combo of his snoring and my super light sleeping. Generally we make out, cuddle until he falls asleep and then I move and sleep a few hours on my own, returning for 1 or 2 hours of sleep with him in the morning. No biggie.

we start out face to face most of the time, cuddling. But when its time to fall asleep, we tend to face back to back a couple inches between us. Lot of times we also will fall asleep on our backs, holding hands

Presently my "bed" is 3ft wide and 6ft long, with the next "bed" above me a huge 3ft above my matress, another person in said "bed" with me would be difficult if not impossible.

Besides my wife is 1000's of miles away and would object to me sharing.

You can't properly call yourself a bachelor when you are 15, ******** Move out of mommy's house first.

I assume the fetal position is your favorite because your dad likes to come in an beat you at night?

I do that to Nobby, and he likes to grab my *** when I do that. Wait, that was you, wasn't it Nobster? Sometimes I manage a leg between his depends on if he is lying directly on side or leaned over, and visa versa.

Actually he likes anyway that consists of my skin touching his, such a pervy. But I think one of my fav's is the my head on his chest thing, with leg across of course. But you know why we girls do this? We WANT you to play with our hair!!!

What chest hair? You could swipe once with a razor and be bald chested. /swoon

No, I do that just so I can watch "it" grow while I touch you...

Husband prefers that I sleep with my head on his chest and his arm protectively around me. But some part of my arm always goes numb and I have to move. So I perfected the whole Friends "Squeeze-hug-roll" thing. Smiley: laugh

When he's finally dropped off into a deep sleep, he rolls to his side and I'll spoon him.

Normally we end up spooning with me behind her, but sometimes we end up sleeping on our backs. I can't remember a time we have ever gone to sleep with our backs towards each other.
