Bored? Go see the Departed. Nicholson, Damon and DiCaprio are fantastic and the rest of the ensemble is great.

I am looking forward to this one. I've been hearing all kinds of Mean Streets comparisons.

Awesome movie. He looked like he had a ball making this film.

I am going to have such good dreams after watching this movie. Mark Wahlberg, Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio all in the same movie? The movie itself is just a bonus. The dreams that come after is what I'm going for! Smiley: grin

Is it really good?

Usually you get an allstar line up and it ends up being a snooze fest. I've seen enough mediocre movies trying to sell themselves off as oscar material already.

Yes, it's really good. Best Scorsese film since at least Casino.

An intriguing and original story that was expertly told/directed, with good acting. It's pretty long, but well worth it. It drew me in and kept me going the whole time. Go see it!

now you'll probably hate it

Hyper-violent, terrific dialogue, great acting. I've always thought Dicaprio was over-rated, but I have to admit he has come into his own in this movie. Next to Jack, he was the best actor in this movie. Well, maybe Baldwin was a close third, but still, Decaprio was fantastic.

I expect several Oscars to come out of this film.

It was a good, solid crime drama with excellent acting all around. Definitely the best performance I've ever seen by Mark Wahlburg; I was never a huge fan of his acting before this movie.

I think I went into the movie with too high expectations, though. I had read a few reviews saying that this was an instant Scorcese classic on the same level as Goodfellas. While I think that the acting was just as good, if not better, some of the relationships between the characters - notably the absurd amount of blind trust that Jack Nicholson's character had for DiCaprio - were a little too far-fetched to seem believable.

Not quite an original story. It's a remake off this Chinese movie, Infernal Affair.

Too bad Joe Pesci couldn't have a part in this movie. I heart him as a gangster.

Yeah, but his two brothers really are that good.
