Not at this site, no, but I got busted once for IM'ing at an old job. My boss was cool about it, said she didn't care if it was slow but I better not be on it if I had some other task.

back wehn I posted about a police incident that I had, I had temproarily used a photo of my face as an avatar.... as it turns out this little ***** of a co-worker felt need to inform my boss about the thread.

my boss reamed me out for using my face as an avatar and talking about illegal stuff... as if someone at my building is going to happen upon this site and find my post and see my face Smiley: oyvey
Bt the time he called me that morning I had already changed the avatar a day before anyway..

I have since refered to that coworker as "little *****" ever sinse.

that was the only time anyone really cared..

Although
the President of the place I'm contracted to now saw the FFXI skin up on my desktop once and thought that it was something to do with Fantastic 4...
wahtever..

I guess it doesn't really count if your busted once a week, does it?

My company has a bigger issue with me using bandwidth for internet radio, more then they do this site. Meh.

I've been caught dead cold a couple times. As in I was talking to someone about a project, they said "It's on the spreadsheet here", sat down at my computer to open the file, minimized the current window and found Allakhazam's sitting behind it. Sometimes mid-post.

Nothing's ever come of it despite one such person being the vice president of the company.

The only two people I know of here who were busted for internet use were steno pool girls who crossed the evil witch HR person we had at the time.

I was busted at my old day job posting here, but since my boss spent half of his day messing around on ebay, there's not much they could say about it.

The people here know I get online, but it's been a long time since anything was said. I think it's because they finally realized I was still doing my work and not just staring at this site all day. Also, memos went out that said some personal internet and email use was fine, as long as it didn't interfere with the job. So I kind of got a pardon from the big guys. Smiley: grin

I don't really have problems with people online at work, as long as they get their work done. Work should be as fun as possible anyway, just finish what needs to be done and the rest is you time. Of course if you want to take it upon yourself to do more with your free time and improve things, well that's one way to try for a bigger salary.

I doubt my Company even knows what a Forum is. People have walked up and seen me looking at odd and end stuff on the web but they never say anything.

Same here. They can check their email, but that's about as far as it goes.

I've never been busted outright that I know of, but I'm sure a few are suspicious. They probably on a occasion catch a glimpse of my lightning-fast Alt-Tab maneurver when they walk past my cubicle.
