A gunman has attacked an Amish school in the US state of Pennsylvania.

Several people are said to have died in the attack on the one-room schoolhouse in the town of Nickell Mines in Lancaster County.

"There are a number of people dead," Police Cpl Ralph Striebig said. "The exact number I do not know yet."
Smiley: lol

MSNBC lastest new on this
Quote:

WGAL-TV also reported that the shooter was an adult male who had entered the school in rural Lancaster County and and started making threats.

Some people in the Amish community learned about the situation and contacted police, WGAL reported. Negotiations apparently then took place but at some point at least 10 shots were fired within the school, WGAL said. It appeared the shooter took his own life.

I would like to know what type of threats he was making before I would think of laughing at an early report on breaking news story.

Sorry Nobs but this time I think you've step down to Drak's level.

Amish? Guns? C'mon Elne. Picture teh Amish making ambulances turn off their engines and hitch them up to mules, while the elders stroke their beards in disdain at the brightly coloUred clothing of the news bimbos.

Can I recommend Forum=28?

You can probably hear the bleeding hearts and gnashing of teeth from there.

Nobster, if the Amish were really serious about living without all the modern technology, they wouldn't have allow the rest of Lancaster Co. to either. The whole place is just weird.

Seems every place that isn't Amish land, is cover in outlet stores, motels and tourist traps.

In fact I don't remember seeing but one guy with a beard and locks when Jonwin and I were there last Aug., and he was at the gaming convention with a membership badge.

I must be PMS'ing, but since I reach menopause it hard to tell.

Just wanted to point out that it's more of an Amish Dunblane. The shooter was an adult.

The thing that really pisses me off about these kinds of shootings is how the shooter always kills himself.

Coward.

To be positive about the situation, at least he picked a tiny school. CNN said he was carrying 600 rounds of ammo. And toilet paper. Smiley: confused

Build a barn on a contested property line. Or maybe he was just pissed because his amish ex-girlfriend was always Shitting on his floor in protest of technology.

Sounded more like revenge against women - well, girls - than Amish people. He just picked a soft target where no one was likely to be armed, unlike a city school.

I'm voting double-dog coward.

What the hell is the point of holding up an Amish school? What did he want? Their wood?

He let the boys and the teachers go.
He shot young girls between 6 and 15 years. 5 of them dead until now.

Still that funny?
