Kel, I had my windows open last night I **** you not. I love this weather, of course the girl is laying somewhere among the four comforters she made me get out of the storage bin in the laundry room. Fall and Winter are by far and away the best seasons.

*nods*

It was 30 degrees out when I woke up this morning, not a cloud in the sky. Allergies weren't bothering me at all, which is wonderful, since my hay fever usually tortures me throughout the day no matter which medicine I take. Ran around outside with the dog for a little while, enjoying the brisk air. I'm at a complete loss as to how people can despise such a wonderful morning, but whatever.

I think we just had our "Indian Summer" (lasts all of 2 weeks). It was in the high 80s for a while. It's actually nice having the 60-degree weather. Of course, the overcast skies sort of suck right now.

Got down in the 40's here, too. We slept with our bedroom window open, but I closed the rest of them in the house. Still, when I got up this morning, I had to put some sweats on, heh.

Supposed to be back up to 80 by Tuesday I think.

I use to love the constant changes in the weather here, but now dread it as the air pressure dropping = more Pain for me.

So I check the weather each morning and plan my days around it. Sometimes though you just have to deal with it and go on, which is why I'm suffering now after walking far more then I should, enjoying the occasional sprinkles at Gwynn Falls Park and Mount Vernon Place.

Bought a book on Piranesi by Luigi Ficacci, that is in 3 languages. Thankfully the English translation is in 10 point, while I believe the German and French translations are in 8 point or smaller type.

Well, you will all be happy to know that my wind prevention devices are working quite well. 10 mph wind, so I jump in the car and rush to the field, get out the kites, get them assembled and rigged, and not two minutes later the wind dies completly. And stays dead. I treid to wait it out, but finally I had to go, and as soon as the kites were back in the car, bam! the wind turns back on full blast.

I plan on using my wind prevention skills for evil, and demanding a huge bribe from local governments or else I'll make it never be windy anywhere ever again.

Stupid planet. Make wind damnit!

Autumn in Michigan is usually a spectacular mix of unpredictable weather and brilliant color, and even though I always feel like moving West by March, I truly love it here. Halloween, in particular, wouldn't be the same any other place.

However, thanks to a week of late nights, drinking more than I should, and a brief but intense series of dates, I'm now suffering though a nasty head cold which makes it a little more difficult to appreciate the season. Today, however, I forced myself to go to the Ren Fest, despite the constant drizzle and 50-degree temps. Suprisingly, it was one of the most memorable visits to the festival I've ever experienced. There were very few people there (comparatively, since it draws around 300k + each year), and the weather gave the festival a very unique feel. The hot food tasted better, as did the wine and beer, and being forced to wear warm clothes somehow really enhanced the experience. It's a far cry from last year, when it was 80+ and clouds of dust followed us everywhere we went.

Kao, ya gotta take 'em out to the coast. I know that Lincoln City and Newport are lousy with kite shops, I imagine Seaside can't be all that different windwise. Not sure what the big coast spots north of the state line are, but I'm sure you can find one.

Trust me, I can stop the wind there too. I've been barred from long beach for life during the kite festival for that very reason. It's the Pierce Family Curseâ„¢

Minneapolis is in the 80's. High 70's yesterday.

First winter I experienced in 2004 was -30's for 2 months. My car wouldn't even turn over due to getting an oil change and the fresh stuff got all rubbery.

Hardcore bum's still swore to sleep on the street despite the warnings then take a ride to a shelter. Only later to be named a numeral among the other bumcicles who were found frozen.
