Never did understand why people smoke. It stinks, makes you stink, turns your teeth yellow and ***** up your health. All that so you can look cool in highschool (I assume that is where most of you took it up)? Then again I never understood the allure of pot or hard drugs either. I guess I am just special.

I switched to American Spirits about three months ago. Just recently down to lights. I switched in the hopes that it'll be easier to quit without all those extra chemicals floating around. So far, the last time I tried to quit, it was almost as difficult as on Marb's.

Still, i'm hoping as I cut back and eventually go on the patch, I can quit. Regardless, at one point I was smoking 2-3 packs a day. You wouldn't have liked to see the stuff I was coughing up those mornings.

I actually made fun of my friends for smoking, and refused them and pointed out that I had asthma and didn't want cancer ect....

It was total curiosity(and stupidity). Here;s the run down.


Best friend and I are on bikes heading somewhere.
we stop at a store.
He asks me to hold his lit Marlboro Light as he goes in.

I drag off of it, and I DO NOT cough, or hack , or gag, or die.
this surprised me.
i smoke off of it again.

i got lightheaded as hell (this is pre-weed year of 14-ish)

As far as i was concerned in my young idiocy I was HIGH. REALLY HIGH!! OMG LIKE JIM MORRISON AND sh*t!! YEAHHHHHH

THIS MEANt to me, that every single person who was a smoker was really just getting high.
THAT was the secret. That as why they were doing it. I figured it out!! My friends dad.... cops, bus drivers, everybody!!

SO i ask him for another one wehn he comes out, and we ride our way homes on bikes and I am swurving and euphoric.


The next day I bought a pack of Newports and wehn to a party and finished the pack that night.
The next morning I literally for the first time in my life had trouble breathing as if my lungs were swollen.

I continued smoking anyway. Wasn't to be cool, it was to be self destructive. we cikd aregue whether or not I was being self destructive to be cool or not, but I don't think so.



and still no nicoteen has entered my body this day
