I have tickets for Roger Waters tomorrow so you can all **** off. Just need to find my damn hookah for the pre-concert festivities Smiley: grin I missed seeing him the last time he was in town, so I fairly pumped to check it out.

I went to a Willie Nelson concert with my dad when I was 8. That is the only real concert I've been to to date.

I still have the ticket stubs somewhere.

How many more different ways can he possibly bemoan the loss of his "datty"?

I saw Styx a few years ago and it was an amazing and fun show. Some bands don't hold up well as they age--Styx isn't one of them.

Saw Def Leppard last month, but for all that I was REALLY looking forward to it, it really wasn't that great. Their voices are blown, so most of the melody was taken an octave down, which means the harmonies that were really their signature sound are gone. That and the concert was really badly mixed, so there was so much noise you really couldn't hear the music. I don't know why some sound techs think that "loud" has to be so distorted that you can't recognize the tune. It's completely possible to amplify a concert so that it's loud enough to have that "rock" feel without distorting the sound all to hell--I've see it done. I just haven't seen it done often, unfortunately.

Without a doubt, Roger Waters.

Agreed.

Who I would like to see (insert time machine) is Rage against the machine live. I saw the DVD video of them at the Democratic National Convention in 2000 and was blown away.

Theres not enough politically driven music out there ( in the mainstream ). And audioslave is just Chris whining. Et 'tu tom morello?

I saw Styx a couple decades ago. At the time I really couldn't tell the difference between Styx, Kansas and Toto. Still can't.

I have a theory about them that also includes REO Speedwagon, Boston, Foreigner & Journey.

Did you ever see any of them in the same place at the same time?

I think not!!

And don't argue that some of them appeared at the same Gig. Costume changes baby.

I've only seen a handful of concerts myself. Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, BB King and Seven Mary Three. I would be hard pressed to choose between the two Brothers bands for an encore (though there are no actual brothers in either, anymore).
