Well as a nice gift to us, the hard workers of a Miller Lite Distributor, the big boys at corporate got us a bus, tickets to The Who and a VIP Tent/Bar at the show. I am not that big of a Who fan or concerts in general but I kinda feel obligated as a walking, breathing human to see The Who live. I bought one of their albumns years ago, Tommy and absolutly loved it. My only problem with the show is that chances are, I am going to offered two beers during the duration of our trip, Miller Lite and MGD.
Smiley: frown

So, concerts. Out of all the ones you have been to (festivals count as well) which one would you love an encore to?

Without a doubt, Roger Waters.

I suck so bad I've only been to 2x concerts. Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails. The NIN concert sucked because they did it at a hockey arena with horrible sound. Manson wasn't toooo bad though.

The Pixies. That show was fucking awesome.

A runner up might be the Beastie Boys, whom I saw in Glasgow.

My favorite concerts go like this.

1. Rolling Stones/White Stripes - Columbus, OH. This was a great show, made all the better that I was out of Columbus City limits 8 minutes after getting to my car.

2. Kid Rock/Everclear - Indianapolis, IN. There were also 8 other bands on the bill, in a concert called X-Fest. I hated Kid Rock before I saw him live. When you throw down a show good enough to make a fan from someone who hated you, that is a damn fine show. And every time I have ever seen Everclear they have thrown down an amazing show.

3. Foo Fighters/Ben Folds Five - Indianapolis, IN. Ya always keep a soft spot in your heart for your first.

~Rock

*Edit to add Honorable Mentions*

Honorable Mentions:
1. Nine Inch Nails - Just missed the list because I thought I was going to die at this show.
2. Weezer
3. Stone Temple Pilots/Green Day
4. Tool

I would have loved to have an encore to a Pantera show. Hell, I'd even take Damageplan.

Pearl Jam with The Ramones.

Of course, there would have to be some serious raising of the dead to have that one happen.

Highest energy was definitely Limp Bizkit with Kid Rock, back before Fred Durst sucked.

Most romantic was Mary Fahl.

Best dancing was Viento de Agua.

Best overall vibe? Tom Petty.

You should see the musical. The people running the show tried calling it a 'rock opera' but they were just trying to sound less ****** It's a play set to the album and everybody sings. It's a ******* musical.

Yeah I rented the movie version of it awhile back. It was shot in the 70's I believe. Pretty cool listening to the CD for so long and then finally putting it together on film.

My first concert was Limp Bizkit/Helmet/Korn back in maybe '94 or '95, before Limp Bizkit had even released an album, and it was intense enough that I would do it again in a heartbeat. I lost a shoe and my shirt, and had my ticket signed by Fred Durst, who is roughly four and a half feet tall. He wandered out into the crowd after they played, which was pretty neat. I was ejected from the show during the Helmet set, for smoking one of the huge joints I had taped to the inside of my thigh, but a nice cop told the concert folks to let me back in after he found me outside waiting for my friends, who hadn't been kicked out. Korn really rocked back then.

Seeing as how I'm too old to do that sort of concert anymore, I'd choose to repeat the Red Hot Chili Peppers/ Stone Temple Pilots show I caught at Red Rocks a few years ago. Except for the part when we were leaving and my girlfriend had her crotch grabbed multiple times, but never by me.

I don't see a whole lot of concerts, but I did catch Alice in Chains a couple months ago, and it was awesome. It was neat to see the band resurrected like that and sounding as good as ever.
