If you rape a woman in Pakistan, make sure no more than three men are watching you do it. As a sidenote, only 2 are allowed to video tape it. And in the end, she's goes to jail not you! Ahh...sharia law FTW.

Not that I'm defending the religious rule in Pakistan, but the way I read that article, this sounds like the non-religious folks got most of what they were wanted.
Previous law:
Rape covered under islamic law. If there are 4 witnesses to the rape, it's charged as a rape. If not, it's charged against the woman as adultery.
New law:
Rape covered in both islamic and penal law. If there are 4 witnesses to the rape, it's charged under islamic law as a rape. If there are not 4 witnesses, it's handled by penal law (with a judge deciding what to do).
While not perfect, it does remove the *automatic* charge of adultery under islamic law if the woman can't produce 4 witnesses to the rape.
So yeah. Baby steps...
