Some of you may have heard about the shootings up in the Great White North yesterday, some guy went nuts at Dawson College and killed one woman and injured 19 others.

Linky

And, here we go again...
They are already blaming video games

Quote:
He said on the site that he liked to play "Super Columbine Massacre," an Internet-based computer game that simulates the April 20, 1999, shootings at the Colorado high school by two of its students that left 13 people dead.

"His name is Trench. you will come to know him as the Angel of Death," he wrote on his vampirefreaks.com profile. "He is not a people person."

He wrote that he hates jocks, preppies, country music and hip-hop.

"Work sucks ... school sucks ... life sucks ... what else can I say? ... Life is a video game you've got to die sometime."

Below a picture of Gill aiming the barrel of a gun at the camera there's the inscription: "I think I have an obsession with guns ... muahahaha."

"Anger and hatred simmers within me," said another caption below a picture of Gill grimacing.

He wrote that he is 6-foot-1, was born in Montreal and is of Indian heritage. He said his weakness is laziness and that he fears nothing. Responding to the question, "How do you want to die?" Gill replied "like Romeo and Juliet — or in a hail of gunfire."

Nice work jackass. Not only do you seriously have problems, we get to listen to the media and government rant about how video games are to blame for violence, once again.

Gill wore a black trench coat during the shooting and opened fire in the cafeteria just as Columbine students Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris did in 1999. Gill also maintained an online blog, similar to Klebold and Harris, devoted to gothic culture, heavy metal music such as Marilyn Manson, guns and journal entries expressing hatred against authority figures and "society."

I think that there might be a couple of other "causes". I like that the video game is mentioned in the title, but then one line is devoted to the game.

Manson's music isn't that bad. Did you know that he actually did the musical scoring for the Resident Evil movie? Yeah, the movie sucked, but the music was pretty good.

I plan to have that playing on my iPod when I take my AK47 down to the Kindergarten
FTFY

I think you've just damned MM's music further if that's possible.

The only thing noteworthy is his hawt stripper wifey (although she's as mad as a bag of cut snakes)

Still your evil tounge, I thought Resident Evil was a decent movie. One of the better cross-overs from video games, at least.

Just because I listen to heavy metal (among other things) doesn't mean that I (seriously) plan to commit mass murders. Maybe if you put me in a room with the Sandbox crowd, but that would be legally considered a public service.

So you're saying what? That it was better than the Mario Brothers movie and Double Dragon?

Yeah, I guess I'll give you that.

After spending the past hour killing jock types, preppy girls and boys, prom queens, black boys, openly gay men, janitors, science teachers, math teachers, social studies teachers and church boys and girls(they heal!) in the socially concious RPG that is Super Columbine Massacre, I can safely say I wish the cops would show up. And, I should get some work done.

Sound advice, but unfortunately Super Columbine Massacre doesn't allow for much in the way of character customization. It does boast an awesome soundtrack, though. I saved my game, so maybe the cops will show up if I keep plugging away, only time will tell.
