BRISBANE, Australia (AP) -- At least 10 stingrays have been found dead and mutilated on Australia's eastern coast since "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin was killed by one of the animals last week, an official said Tuesday, prompting concerns of revenge attacks on the normally docile fish.

Gawd, we humans are ******** I'm sure Steve Irwin would have really thought this was cool. Smiley: rolleyes

then dont go swimming in Fl. On my honeymoon I stepped on one in knee high water. Clearest water ever and I didnt see a damn thing. Sting rays bury themselves in sand so unless you shuffle you have a good chance of stepping on them

Here in Mass we have things similar called Skates. Their egg case wash up on the beaches all the time. The egg cases are also called Mermaid's purses or Devils pocketbooks.

Lol. "Take that, you bad stingray!" I can imagine oodles of Austrailian schoolchildren meting out a brutal playground form of justice against those vile killer 'rays in retaliation for the death of their bad hairdo-ed hero. Heh. Death by didgeroo.
