There's a difference between definition and usage, you know (or, actually, you probably don't). In order for someone to be attacked, they are generally understood to be in danger of suffering some sort of damage, whether it be physical, social, financial or psychological.
An offensive statement on an internet forum does none of these. In fact, the people referenced would have no way of knowing that they had ever been "attacked"; thus, no attack occurred.

Ok wow, thank you first of all for a proper argument, and your right the baby can't feel the affects of written abuse on the internet and I shall rewrite my complaint about taistyles comments in the way it should be writeen,
I believe It is wrong for someone to make abusive comments abouts someone else's baby in order to attack that person, It is below the belt and when you have a problem with a person you should direct any hostility towards them rather then someone who can't fight back.
