Smiley: disappointed[:Disgusted:](why is there no smiley for that one?)

This disgusts me more than anything. Maybe it's because of an experience in something similar to this, or maybe I'm more disgusted than I should be, I don't know. A child should never have to go through something like that. Even if she was slightly willing to do what she did, it's still ******* wrong, it's ******* sick and the people who tricked her into doing it should be punished in the most painful fashion.

The 11 year old girl was obviously a prostitute: nobody should be charged anything.

Since women own the justice system, we all know that poor 40 year old white well paid male is going to go down under. Smiley: frown

It took me a minute to realize this was news rather than Katie's childhood story.

I remember a girl from my high school who was in 9th grade (I think I was either in 11th or 12th by then) that rode the train with about 7-8 guys as passengers. Granted, she was around 14-15 at the time, a little bit older than the 11 year old girl in this case, but there are some children that are either of a mindset that is beyond their actual ages or their self-esteem is completely based on what others tell them.

/nod Instead of physical force, there was probably enough egging on from the group where she felt that if she did this, she'd have acceptance.

But is that assault? I have a hard time defining it as assault. I could be content with calling it coersion. Sex with a 40 year old I'd define as assault, sex with a 15 or 16 year old? I'd have a much harder time defining as assault and branding them sexual predators. KWIM?

The mindset of a 15-16 year old highly (usually, at least) differs from 11 year old general age group.

I'd charge them both as adults, personally. They pretty much brainwashed the 11 year old to do their bidding. Of course, providing the article is accurate and not stretching/bending the truth.

I mean, I have NO issues that 15 'boys' were just hiding in a basement. Smiley: rolleyes

The problem is that the 11 year old probably thought that she was being all mature and doing this would make the 16 year old girl like her.

The 40 year old really has no defence he should have actually stopped the whole thing, there being so many boys in the basements means it is either a clut, orphanage or Young Republicans training centre.

More of the group is being charged.

Now, how much do you want to bet that some of these guys would have not participated if they knew that little fact? Granted, the chances of passing HIV in that manner are low, but do you really want to take the chance?

The guys should KNOW that she had HIV, for the simple fact that they should get tested, and that is almost going to be more than enough punishment for them to sweat through waiting for the results.

When did Australia become a penal colony again? It must have been overshadowed by the stingray incident.

It'd be enough punishment if they all contracted the HIV maybe.

It's my little cousin, Brenna! She's had her nipple bit off and spit back into her armpit, but as you can see the blood is flowing in the wrong direction. She's making a decent little career for herself as a B movie actress, and I think this picture is cute.
