In the interests of giving the poor lass a hand I'm asking the Asylum's help in creating a signature move or saying that will cement her place in the pantheon of news anchors with gravitas.
Scrappleface has a David Letterman Top Ten list (which like Letterman's, the number 1 always sucks. It makes me wonder who decided that #1 was so much better than the much funnier #6 or 7) to whet your creative juices.
My contribution is that Katie could hike up her skirt, put one leg on the table, jam a Cuban cigar in her cooze like Monica, bend over and look back at the camera between her legs, say "Fidel says, 'Goodnight!'" Then she'd pull her cheeks apart and wink her a$$hole at the camera just to show she's really just kidding about being a Commie. Well, kinda. Sorta kidding. Ok, not really.
I'd tune in at least once a week to see that.
