My father gasping for breath in his hospital bed the last few minutes before he passed away from lung cancer. He had not been awake and coherent for a few days before then, didn't eat, didn't drink, just slept continually. He passed away clutching the railing on the hospital bed in one hand and my mother's hand in the other.
