Omg, this is just horrible. I thought this man was invicible to everything that nature could through at him. Even though he was pretty strange guy, everyone had a soft spot for him.

Woke up this mourning, stumbled to the fridge for some OJ, reached over and snapped the Tele on. Saw my local vultures looking rather grim, with Steve's pic. hovering above their head. Had an bad feeling about it, but couldn't get the sound up in time. Now I'm here and see this.

While typing I hear that local raptor, raise his voice after talking about a 16 year old girl shot to death while buying gas to say, "The Crocidile Hunter is DEAD." Way to show some compasion for him, and that poor teen. /looks down and shakes it's head. Gonna miss that crazy guy. Hope it wasn't to painful. Best wishes to his family and children.

There you are death, been a while...

BarkingTurtle's sig:This isn't supposed to be funny.

Turtle, you just have to love the buckskin, cocaine, disco music and Native American imagery, all combined into an interpretive free-form dance ensemble that is the "Tommy Seebach Band".

..up to 20cm long, serrated, made of strong cartilage and wrapped in a venomous sheath - in a whipping action.

"The flaps of the stingray would have been stimulated in some way - he may have been too close to it," he said yesterday.

"Its tail has come forward and the barb in it has gone into his chest. It has probably punctured the aorta, the major vessel.

"The effect would be like cutting it with a knife. Within a few seconds, almost all the body's blood volume would have pumped out into the chest cavity.

"The blood loss would have caused death quickly after unconsciousness. He would have known what had happened but he'd be blacking out fast.

"It would have been very quick, exactly the same as if he had been stabbed in the heart."

that's a lot of blood in a little bit of time.
