Just a buncha rain. School did get cancelled for me though as the place I teach at had now power. Thus I get a four day weekend.

Hell, I didn't even lose power.

Thanks for noticing I am still breathing though.

When Fran came through in 98 we were without power for 9 days. I almost went nuts.

This time we did not have as much as a flicker. How long were you down?

Bah, the power goes out here all the time. Stupid Cary. It was out for about 2 hours or so early friday morning, but last time it went it was gone for 5 hours. Ridiculous.

Fran sounded crazy. I was reading a little about that in the paper today. I'm glad I missed it. Apparantly, it tore the roof off our house (which is why we have a 10 year old roof on a 30 year old house). Smiley: eek

Fran Sucked. It is the sole reason I bought a generator. Had one when Floyd came around the next year and put power down for 3 days.

Stupid hurricanes.

Where do you live? Fran pounded me too and I was out for about 6 days. Likewise with Floyd.

Virginian?

Wilmington, NC.

We generally have a big bullseye for hurricanes and Jim Cantore fromthe weather channel is a regular at our beaches.

Actually he is the measuring stick to see if the storm is really going to hit us or not.

I don't even go out and get batteries until Jim Cantore shows up.
