After you get a few drinks in him he tends to get a bit more flirtatious but still keeps it inocent enough; however, he does have this strange habit of greeting certain women with a kiss of the hand. It's never excessive and usually only one to two ladies a night. It is an interesting thing to see though, as some women seem to almost visibly get weak in the knees at this gesture.
I've read a what little I can find on it and it appears that in American culture the greeting has been romanticized considerably compared it's European origin as a sign of respect. Personally, I've never really felt comfortable greeting ladies this way as I tend to also hold this notion of it being a bit forward, perhaps even rude. Yet not a single instance have I seen any of the women act uneasy or offended at this action. Maybe it's because with just the right amount of social lubrication such things are more easily accepted?
