I'm the same way tricky. If I'm eating alone, I *have* to read something. I don't care if it's the side of a cup, I need to read something while I eat.

Yeah, I have to either take a newspaper to work with me or eat lunch in the car so I can listen to the radio.

Same, am also very lucky to live in a city where the onion is circulated weekly. Discover is a great read, also Boondock collections. Oh and some of my favorite comic book collections from my teenage years (Age of Apocolypse, Maximum Carnage, Infinity Gauntlet etc).
We used to have the normal gossip mags that my partner likes to read, but since my son came only he has a tendency to throw everything in the toilet and wants to be in there with you when you go so normally it is Dr S, Noddy, Maisy or Bonbon gets dressed that I have to read to him while I go.
I had a roommate who would go and take his book and I think his record was 50 minutes on the john. Must have been a good book, I think it was Robert Jordan.

The Weekly World News is also great toilet reading. The laughter helps with particularly difficult to pass shite~
