This weekend while we were booted out of our house for yet another showing, the Mr and I decided to finally buy a toy we've been eyeing for awhile. It's a Keurig coffee maker that makes a single cup of freshly brewed coffee in 30 seconds. No more making a large pot and having that glorious caffeine go to waste! No more drinking coffee you made 30 minutes ago still keeping warm but not nearly as good tasting as that first cup! Each and every cup is divine ( DSD tested ).

We got the B60 edition which brews 3 different sizes depending on your cup. Suffice to say we tried it out all weekend, and while I have probably had more coffee than is good for me, I can say I havent had such good coffee in a long time. I always love that first cup in the morning, with its yummy caffeine freshness smell wafting into my nostrils and sipping it as I read the morning forums. I'm impressed that I can get that taste each time now and only have to hit a button and wait 30 seconds. (Plus for all you gamers, this is the ultimate caffeine toy when raiding ha!)

So has anyone else bought this nifty lil toy?

Sounds great, DSD. Of course, I'm only allowed one cup of coffee per day. Smiley: frown

I do. Trying to limit the amount of caffeine I ingest, plus I'm sleeping like crap already so no need to make that any worse.

Surely after February I will kick the caffeine up a notch. Yay!

You know, I considered this and bought a larger coffee machine instead, but I might go back and get it at some later date. I usually only need to brew enough to fill my trusty nissan for my drive up to work. If I make extra for Joph, sometimes he drinks it and sometimes not but even so, he won't drink a whole pot.

Is one of the settings big enough for 14 oz?

when February rolls around, if Im down there, you are more than welcome to bring your kids and you over for playdates and we can let the lil ones trash the house while we sip coffee from my uber coffee maker and bitch about our lack of sleep Smiley: grin

edit for Flea:

I think they were 5.5 oz, 7.5 oz and 9,5 ox. But no reason why you cant just make 2 of the middle for your travel mug

We have a single serving machine here at the office that the girls totally love. Still, since I'm not such a coffee drinker, can't say.

But I'll take DSD's word for it since she is the Caffeine Queen. Smiley: grin

I always liked those spiffy little one at a time makers, but alas before I got my hands on one the misses found a really nice, reduced in price, coffee and espresso maker. Haven't used the espresso side in awhile but its nice to know that it will be there when I need it.

Pregnancy For Dummies off the top of my head, since I just watched it, but I've heard the same advice elsewhere. Caffeine intake should be limited during pregnancy to the equivalent of 2 cups of coffee per day at most.

I could probably find more info, but I'm running late for an appt.

You know, the money I save by not drinking coffee is amazing. I don't need to buy no $200 coffee maker or the coffee, etc.

I also have no problems getting up in the morning or staying awake at night when I want to.

Yup, you can go back to hating me now.

I always hated coffee, but used to love Caffine in the form of Mt. Dew. And I have to say that since I have fully kicked my addiction, I agree with Nizdaar.

I love the fact that I am not hooked on anything (I am like the anti-addiction personality). Also, when the eventual zombie apocolypse comes, I won't have to worry about withdrawals getting me killed because I wasn't concentrating enough on the situation at hand.

We've had the larger version at work for a couple months now....everyone loves it. I buy asleeve of 25 coffee thingies for $12.50. Way cheapr than anywhere else for pretty good coffee.

Not a big flavored coffee fan, but the Green Mountain Hazelnut is great.

the variety is very very limited, but you can buy a package of Kcups for $9.99 at your local Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens and Things I found. In case you run out before your weekly shipment arrives
