..and I've decided that all people are idiots.
Today, a woman came in who decided that she was going to get a free can of gingerale. She came in grabbed it, had me scan it, and then spent 10 minutes bartering with me over the price. There are 4 people in line behind her, and she's sitting here, trying to convince me to let her buy a $1.36 can of gingerale, for $0.50(this is all in Canadian). Eventually she decided to pay me and went on her way.
I've also had to hear some of the dumbest questions, it's almost like it's out of the movie "clerks". Some of them are:
"Do you sell cigarettes?"
The entire wall behind the counter is full from floor to ceiling with assorted brands and sizes of cigarettes. I think this might be the dumbest question I've heard since working there.
"Do you accept hundred dollar bills?"
There are no less than three ******* signs saying, "We do not accept $100 & $50 bills", it's one of the most annoying ******* thingsI have to deal with on a daily basis.
"Do you sell Pepsi?"
No we don't sell one of the most profitable items in existance in a convenience store controlled by a semi-major chain of convenience stores. Why would we want to make money?
"How much for a three dollar lottery ticket?"
I kid you not, I have been asked this question.
"The tax is too high, I want you to take it off"
another ridiculous one...
I seriously want to punch everyone who walks into that store in the face now...
