This is bound to stir up a hornets nest considering some of the previous prolife discussions on this board, but I personally think that this is a good decesion. There are plenty of persons (~3 million american's yearly, according to the story) who made hasty decesions about sex that later regret when they are facing the birth of a child that was not planned and often not wanted. I do not think that this should become a defacto birth control plan (not likely at $45/dose) but it does offer an oppertuinty to salvage a bad decision.
