My only worry is at 19 am I too old to learn the basics of Grammar and Math? On the qualifier for English and Math I scored a 84 on english and I got a 16 on Math.

The only english questions I missed where on basic sentence structure and the whole verbs and sh*t thing. Then on Math I missed so many becuase I havent passed a Math class in 7 years.

You're never too old to learn.

Which doesn't mean that you're not too stupid to learn.

Enjoy your future with the Fryolator.

I never graduated - got kicked out as a junior for trying to blow the place up - so I took the GED and the SATs. Tried some community college but I was pretty much ruined on classroom learning. Eventually I ended up doing computer/IT work that most of my peers went to 4 years of uni to do.

Just keep reading and teach yourself whatever you want to do.

Zone out, doodle, stare at the pretty girl up the aisle. Still no reason for flunking out. You don't get marked for reading out loud, do you? How about for math, did you have to read 'The Giver" in the math class?

Bullsh*t excuse to gloss over your own incompetencies and your inability to focus on the task at hand and complete it efficiently, no matter how tedious.

Do you think sitting in a lecture hall as some cold impersonal professor rambles on about the timar land system of the mid ottomon empire is thrilling engaging stuff?

Judging by your poor scores, I would say college is not for you. Instead, I would recommend finding a way to get your high school diploma as soon as you can, maybe another school, GED, etc.

Then make you way into the fabulous world of Union Labor. Here is a link to an official NYC document showing the prevailing rate of union wages for various types of workers. Many pay well into the 6 figure salaries to guys right now, after you make it out of the apprentice program, and thats not including awesome benefits. The Operating Engineers in particular just got a 35% raise over next 6 years after a one week strike, so the salaries continue to go up.

To get into many of the better paying Unions you have to know someone already in one. So if you do not, start banging the daughters of well respected members of the Steam Fitters, Electricians, Plumbers or Operating Engineers Unions toote suite. Toote suite that is french for.. well you won't need to know french, you are going to be a union man and proud of it. If your local city does not have strong unions, move to one that does! I recommend Chicago, LA, Atlanta etc. but not NYC, as we have enough aSswipes here already. Good Luck.

Above all, do not lie to yourself. A man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point where he does not discern any truth either in himself or anywhere around him, and thus falls into disrespect towards himself and others

Quit bullsh'itting yourself, quit laying the blame for your own mistakes on others feets, and most importantly of all knock off that 'grass is greener in the halls of higher learning' bullsh'it.

If you manage to jump those hurdles you might just be ready to attend college.

You know, if I knew that you'd wheedle out of accepting good advice the way you're wheedling out of accepting responsibility for your past failures, I would have saved my breath, you ungrateful jackass.

Grow a sack and man up, or shut the fück up and start applying to your local McDonalds.

If my middle kid hadn't been dyslexic, and so far hasn't been able to pass the GED, then I figure here is one more guy who will complain when he realizes, that it's near impossible to get a welfare check as a male.

Only area she has less then a 85 percentile is the essay, so she is now working with a tutor to get her writing skills up. If you haven't been able to pass a math class in 7 years, someone been negligent in not following though and making sure you had extra help in school.

Even my youngest, who suffered from Social Anxiety disorder during most of her schooling, was able to get help for it from the school system. She did drop out in 10th grade and ended up getting her GED at 17, while her classmates were just starting 12th.

So check out getting a tutor and start Studying. That or get a few dependents and go for a sex change.

College is way overrated.

Many college degree holders make sub-average wages - or at best average wages.

What do you want to do? Are you good at construction? Avoid un-and-low-skilled jobs - but consider plumber, electrician. Some electricians rake in big money.

Oil rig work. You have to be willing to work offshore or in Alaska - or wherever. But this pays very well.

Some sort of technical degree, maybe?

Here's the thing - what would you do with a college degree? Teach?

First of all, from your previous posts in this thread, you might realize that you've fücked up, but you still haven't accepted the responsibility. Secondly, accepting responsibility means nothing unless you have a reasonable plan to fix your life, and the backbone to go through with it.

If you realized you f'ucked up why are you continually trying to place blame on the situation? Why are you constantly spouting "If I was in 'x' situation I am sure I wouldn't f'uck up" as if a change in a situation, not in yourself, would alleviate the problem?

A reasonable plan would be taking Adult Education Courses and going to Community college so I might be able to go to a decent college right?

Sassy, I got kicked out of college. I goofed around, drank too much, smoked a little pot, and eventually, my classes starting moving faster than I was prepared to deal with. But I don't blame the classes or the professors for teaching difficult material; I blame myself for not only allowing myself to fall behind, but for not accepting the fact that my major wasn't right for me.

I've since taken several community college classes, and I plan to be back in a 4-year university come January. I have a plan, and I'm following through with it.

In any case, why the hell would you ask a bunch of gaming nerds on the internet for advice? This is the kind of discussion that you should be having with your parents, not with a bunch of elitist pricks like We.
