I was thinking of putting together an account just to occasionally play this game again, but I tried going to the Angsty Coder forums and found them to be no more. So I was just wondering, does anyone still play this game? Is there still an "Asylum" alliance? And if there is you guys better be kicking *** in the top5...

Then don't bother. You should know by now that OGame can't be played *occaisonally*. It's all or nothing. Go play Counterstrike or something instead.

still 12th but Joker.TC dropped from 9th to 14th with some players leaving. The rest of .TC is 20th and higher I believe. They may have bigger fleets but we have longevity.Thanks for the update on Angsty's. Apparently I didn't get the memo.

Nice, keep kicking ***. Is there an alternative one that many players use besides Uni 1? I made a planet there and have already started, but its in the same range as some top players/bastages that I remember from before (of course) and I don't feel like fighting that fire.
I also play in Uni 9. Uni 22 is the newest. You'd have a better chance of reaching the top there I'd bet.

Well, I wasn't pondering wether 22 was the newest, unless those Euro's who run the thing thought 17 came after.

Actually, Universe 23 is starting this coming weekend, so if you really want to get in on the action early, wait for 12:00:00 server time Saturday (5am CST) and start fresh with everybody else.
I'm in perma-vacation mode in Uni1, mostly because I just got bored with attacking the same two guys, and getting IPM'd every week or so. I'm playing in Uni21 with a group of RL friends, and I'm doing quite well; ranked in the top 200 in points, and the top 25 in research.
