This thread is dedicated to my favourite childhood TV series V. The story of an alien race that come to Earth as "Visitors" and flood Earths media system with propaghanda of them being all smiles and handshakes. Did I mention that they wear red, black, and white uniforms with armpatches?

one of their leaders is this hot 80s out chick named Diana who does lots of cruel things like brainwash the beatuful heroine Julie with laser lights in her face and makes her see giant lizards...

So later on it tunrs out the that visitors are not so friendly.... and they they are really lizard people who eat mice and birds and are realy on Earth to steal all of the water and take all the humans for food.

There are lot of intersting plot elements here that deal with issues such as resistance to invasion and propaganda... there is also a group of Visitors who are sympathtic to the Humans..... and there are also even some Jews in it who help the resitance by hiding them.. which they metion they did because during holocaust, someone did the same for them.... so it definatly draws parallels.. This same couple's son is actually a Visitor sympathizer....

All kinds of good crazy stuff going on. High budget, high action, apocalyptic.

There wasn't many show on TV that grossed out the parents... but wehn Robert England crunches up his first mouse on the screen.. I remmeber the kids in my 3nd grade class going nuts! Couldn't beat it with a bat.

It was indeed a phenomenon.

I think I'm going to purchase the seres soon. sweet nostalgia. There WAS something good that came out of the 80s.

A great show (although very cheesey to watch now).

I used to love it when Diana ate a rat.

It was cool, right up to the "oh **** we're out of money" ending.

Hybred love child with mystical powers? Give me a break.

"V: The Second Generation" is in production and due out next year. And yes Jane Badler (Diana) is supposed to be in it. Wonder how she looks after 23 years.

That's where I saw it for the first time when I was about 16.

Man I miss the Sci Fi channel and its Canadian equivalent Space.

I did not care one way or the other when "V" came out. However, being forced to watch it with the family in the early 80's, I learned to loathe it. Having anti-Reagan agendas forced down throat in thinly veiled sub plots and graphical metaphors was about as appealing as a sleep over with Michael Jackson. However, they did blow up stuff occasionally to alleviate the boredom.

We sucking up ot Nexa?

REcently single, she adds an avatar of a show and you make a thread professing your love for it in less than 24 hrs.

Dude...she's not going ot sleep with you.

God that felt good to say.

I was a big fan as well. I had a V avatar a while back, though I don't think anyone noticed. I did see part of a running of it several years back, it is quite cheesy now.

Don't forget about the daughter that the one chick had with one of the visitors. She got hawt quick in that movie.

I don't really find any difference between Tare and Nexa. So their names are interchangeable for all intents and purposes.
