I might actually watch it.

CNN wrote:
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) -- Sweden's state broadcaster SVT on Monday faced ridicule for mistakenly showing a **** movie in the background of a news broadcast over the weekend.

Viewers of a 5-minute news update at midnight Saturday could see explicit scenes from a Czech **** movie on a TV screen behind news anchor Peter Dahlgren.

The monitor -- one of many on the wall of a control room visible behind the studio -- normally shows other news channels during broadcasts.

But staffers who earlier in the evening had watched a sports event on cable channel Canal Plus -- which often shows X-rated films after midnight -- had forgotten to switch it back, said news director Per Yng.

Those clever Swedes.

When I worked for a TV station, we had a separate monitor for the main satellite dish, unconnected to the broadcast monitors. Otherwise the only way to "watch TV" was on the pre-set monitor which was one button press away from going out live. As someone who once accidentally hit the button during a late night movie and broadcast out thirty seconds of music videos before he fixed it...

Anyway, the main concern for the satellite dish was that you could pick up late night Cinemax on it and the Powers That Be didn't want that on the pre-set screens. Just in case.

Is the Naked News still broadcasting?

I believe that was a Brit invention? Ah, looks like it's just on the internet now.

It is. My girlfriend and I occasionally watch it when there's nothing else on tv.

That was born in Toronto, Canada. I once worked with one of the original "news girls".
