I was on the Pill for a number of years and my daughter is the poster child of "don't mix your antibiotics with the Pill." I tried the shot for about a year and it just messed with my hormonal balance. Now I have no need to use anything. Vasectomies FTW! Smiley: grin

Ugh. I know it's silly, but that word literally makes me shudder a bit and press my legs together for protection.

I'm still waiting for that male birth control to hit the market.

I guess you'll simply have to settle for the pill that makes ***** taste like mint, or whatever.

Heh, looking back, that sounded weird. Just referring to that pill that's in development that Sora linked to a little ways back. You could construe that as a type of birth control, if you tried :P

Sure, cause not getting pregnant is what I'm trying to do.

I actually went to go see the doctor about getting my tubes tied, and hubby came with me. And after hearing what I had to undergo for the surgery, he decided that it would be better and easier for him to get clipped. Smiley: inlove

I would think that it has something to do with not being a selfish *******, loving the woman he's with, and noting that in comparison, it's a much simpler procedure.

I *wanted* to get my tubes tied. I want to know that I'll never get pregnant again, not that someone won't be able to get me pregnant. Know what I mean?

Look at that, a woman who takes the responsibility for once! Smiley: bowdown

Last time I checked, it takes two people to get pregnant. If I were single, I'd get my tubes tied or a histerectomy. However, if I were married, I would expect my husband to consider a vasectomy, as it is infinitely simpler and carries less risks.

I think you need to find a new doctor.

So you're saying it's not solely the guy's responsibility?

Well, if I do ever get married, I'll make sure to come to you for my family planning counseling.

Male Birth Control

I remember hearing a while back that they had developed an implant that would be placed in a very unpleasant place (but effective). Amazingly it never made it out of the first clinical trials. I couldn't find a link to it though. It's probably been erased from the internet as one of the worst ideas ever. It seems they clued in and implants elsewhere were a better idea.

If the surgeon cuts your dick, you need a new surgeon. They just make 2 small cuts near the top of your sack pull the tubes out and *snip* and tie them off. All done. A week or two and many many ice packs and you're all good.

damn filter

Yes, that is exactly the procedure that makes me want to dry heave.

Maybe you don't think so because you have no idea of each procedure and its associated risks. I haven't met a doctor yet that doesn't recommend a vasectomy over a tubal, unless the husband/SO is completely unwilling.
