I have observed the weekends delay at the Nations airports with thinly veiled disgust.

Hundreds of thousands of ordinary people forced to bow to the islamic terrorist again, the financial cost in the millions.

and i sat wondering to myself, we know that the old lady on her way to Rome to meet her sister or the Hen party of to some sunny resort in the med are not going to be blowing the plane up, so why are they being treated in the same way as those who are in the high risk groups?

Would it really be impossible to target the searches to the people who we know are going to be commiting the acts?

Sure there will always be the rogue element of non asian decent who might be converted to the extremist cause but is there really any need to search everyone?

It seems to this poster that the fear of "racism" charges being directed at the authoritories is causing unnecessary and expencive extra work. In reply to the comments we would ineviably recieve from the appologists we should say:-

"Next time a chinesse terrorist group blows up a plane, let us know and we'll add them to the list of people who have to que up" Civil rights be damned if they can't control thier own communities, let them face the penalties instead of the entire nation.

With Airline Security like this you might be right. But then agian they probably couldn't tell the difference between an old granny and a terrorist anyway.

Maybe this should be implemented.

Difficult subject. On the one hand I agree it would certainly cut down the waiting times. On the other hand, it would also fuel up the feeling of victimisation, harassment and discrimination Muslims face. Not great.

The thing about "sortng out your community" is ******** though. I don't vouch for what other Frenchies do. Or other catholics, if I was catholic. Asking people to "sort out their communities" is like me telling you guys do sort out your foreign policy. There's not much you can do about it.

And yeah, it's not that easy. People can shave, Somalians are black, Chechens look kinda white, Indonesians look asian... It might cut out the white granny from being searched, but I'm not sure the benefits outweight the social costs.

Sorry but we allways hear how tight knit the muslim community's are, and if the Police managed to track these people down, then i'm pretty sure that there are people who have noticed these individuals becoming radicalised.

It's no different from people in inner cities knowing who the drug dealers are or those in Ireland knowing who the IRA sympathisers are.

The Muslims of Great Britain have spent the last 4 years burying thier heads in the sand, it's time they put up or shut up.

If they don't expose the evil that is the cancer eating away at thier moral high ground, then they should not be surprised if the govenment has to start acting to rid them of it.

That's a great idea! We'll just stop Muslim people at the airports. In order to make them more easily identifyable, we'll make them wear little crescent moon badges on all of their clothing! It would work great! I can't possibly see where that could head culturally!

I still don't think that the "Muslim community" is that homogenous.

Sure, some people might know that other people are more radical than others. There is still a fine line between that and knowing that someone is a terrorist. I'm sure most Muslmis don't know if another Muslim is a terrorist, even if they live in the same neighbourhood.

Beofer they commit an act of terrorism, the guy in question might have been living a perfectly normal life. Even the British Secret Services had one of the 7/7 bombers on their watch, until they let him thinking he was not a threat. If they can't know for sure, I'm not sure random people can.

How on gods green earth can you call Godwins on a thread about airports?

We are not talking about arresting people we are talking about targetting searches rather than blanketting the entire population.

If you are Indian/arabian decent then there is a much higher chance that you are an islamic terrorist than if you are Scandinavian.

True or untrue?

Its a slippery slope. The next thing you know the government will be listening in on our phone calls, building databases of who calls whom, and trackin where our money is transferred...oh wait. Nevermind.
