So basically this thread is about someone who has 12k+ posts not liking other people who post here on the board and decided to open up a thread about it instead of simply ignoring the other posts and then other people started talking about tacos...

What to discuss...

Mkay, tacos it is!

Quote:
Seasoned Beef Filling:
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic granules or powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (12-ounce) can roast beef*

Taco Shells:
1 dozen or more fresh corn tortillas
Vegetable oil for frying

Suggested Condiment Toppings:
Cheddar cheese, shredded
Iceberg or romaine lettuce, cut into thin shreds
Tomatoes, chopped
White or red onion, chopped**
Ripe olives, sliced or chopped
Fresh jalapenos, seeded and chopped
Salsa fresca and/or a variety of bottled hot sauces
Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped (no stems, please!)
Sour cream
Lime wedges
To Prepare Seasoned Beef Filling:

Pre-measure in a small bowl the chili powder, salt, oregano leaves, cumin powder, garlic granules, onion powder and pepper.
In large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef until nicely browned. Drain off excess fat, if needed.
Add the pre-measured spices to the ground beef and cook, stirring constantly, for a few seconds.
Add the canned beef, breaking it up so that it mixes well with the ground beef. Cover skillet and keep warm until ready to serve. It's now time to prepare the taco shells.
To prepare Tortilla Shells:

Add about 1/4-inch oil in a large, heavy skillet. Heat to medium-high; using tongs dip a tortilla into hot oil, turn once and fold in half; fry on both sides to desired crispness.
Drain upside down (tent-like) on a brown paper bag lined with paper towels. Add more oil to skillet as necessary. Experience helps make this process quick and easy.
To Make a Taco:

Fill a prepared taco shell with about 2 tablespoons seasoned beef filling and desired toppings in no particular order, then squeeze some lime juice over the top and enjoy! Nobody can eat just one!
Makes 12 servings.

*Use the parboiled and steam roasted beef chunk variety, not sliced. The addition of this one ingredient enhances the flavor and would be greatly missed if not used.

** When using raw onions in a recipe or as a condiment, soak the onion in ice water after you have chopped or sliced it. Drain well just before using/serving. This process removes the "unpleasantness" from the onion, leaving it sweet tasting and crisp. Even the pickiest eater will like raw onions prepared this way...that is, if you can convince 'em to take that first bite!

At least Totem and Taco have some flair and panache for flaming. It beats the hell out of the "I don't care what you say about me...no, really, I don't...I really don't! I don't care! You think I care? Well, I don't" comeback so oft seen in this thread.

Kinda weak but I admit it made me laugh alittle.

I'm glad you can at least admit that we do in fact have the right to post where ever we want. Now if you'd start judging people on who they are rather than what MMORPG they play then I'll listen to some of your ideas.

Are you inviting folks to go to the FFXI forums and stir up shit "just to spite them"?

I think the arguement is know when to perk up and speak or when to just sit back and take it like a prom queen.

I'm not good at linking stuff, maybe someone will help me out with that.
But, if your setup is the same as mine, on the left menu under Popular Forums- Asylum.
It's the Offtopic for the self important "Regulars" of this site. Were its ok for them to just insult this whole section of the Site for no good reason.

It might be time to link the reason the Assylum was created in the first place. All these whiny fuckers make me sick. "Wah, the Assylumites are hating on uuuuus!!!" Twatwaffles, if you don't give a damn for crying out loud put your money where your mouth is and ignore us. The whole reason we were ousted from OOT and given our own forum is so we could be elitist, sectarian ******** and because we've been around forever, and well, let's face it, the admins just like us better than you. If that truly doesn't bother you, you wouldn't be whining about it like teenage girls that didn't get invited to our sweet sixteen. You'd be the punk emo chicks making music in your garage.

Whiny cunts.

I once wrote:
Ok, listen up. Here's the bitter truth about the Asylum.

The Asylum used to be the Out of Topic forum. Prior to that, it was the OoT forum on the uBB boards. It was populated by a subgroup of EQ posters who became rather insular and xenophobic. When we moved to the new boards, we continued to be insular and xenophobic. FFXI players came here, got mocked and left crying. Alla asked us to be nice. We weren't. Seeing that we weren't going to play well with others in the OoT boards, Alla decided to make a new OoT and give us our own exclusive playground: the Asylum.

Get it? Yeah, it's full of in-jokes and circle jerks and cliques. The Asylum means cliques. It's a social club. It's a fraternity. It's an organisation of elitists. It's based entirely on who is "in" and who is just a poster trying to make himself fit in. It's not a "flame board", it's a place Alla set aside for the Old Guard and the "in crowd" to feel special and act elitist. Just by being here you open yourself to flames and rate-downs and a GFY for your opinions. Go ahead and cry about how unfair it is. See if anyone here gives a rat's ***.

Like it or not, you have to "prove yourself" to fit in. People come here and one of three things happen: They are clever, intelligent and funny enough to fit in, they don't fit in and they leave or they don't fit in and they sit here making a fool of themselves trying to bring us down. But we don't care. Just like how Chet and Dane laugh after they trip their caddy into the mud and drive off to meet Muffy on the yacht, we don't care if you say you cunningly provoked us or proved that we're all predictable jerks. We're still going to pat ourselves on the back and laugh at how we tripped your dumb *** into the mud.

Is it that hard to accept the fact that the Asylum was created to protect the frail and OMGWHY j00z hate us!1?! posters?

You should just put that in your sig and call it good. That's like the 35th time you've had to post that same thing.

Actually I posted here and on the FF main because of this thread, so blame Totem.
I really don't see why voicing my opinion in an offtopic forum seems to **** you guys off. Oh wait, I remember, I wasn't invited to your club.
Until an admin tells me I'm breaking the rules I'll do whatever I want, so feel free to karma camp me or the FF main board. Because we all know how rate downs hurt peoples feelings.

In all seriousness I thought you guys would agree with the idea of not judging a group by some of its members, I guess you're not openminded.
