I've noticed an odd trend in my body. While I'm a natural righthand there is more mass on my left side. My biceps, my pecs, my facial hair - all favors the left. Even my dingus has a pronounced curve to the left, though that indicates more growth on the right side. I'm just curious if anyone knows anything about symmetry in the human form.

Sadly it sounds like you had a minor stroke on your right side, hence your body is favoring and sending more blood to your other side. Is it a drastic diffrence or only something you would notice?

Try using the right hand more when you stroke your little fireman.

Does your left side face the sunlight more often? Just like a tree, you could be growing towards the sunlight.

I doubt I had a stroke any time in my early 20s. And speaking of stroke, I do use my right hand almost exclusively.

I can do some small tasks left-handed, such as type on separate keyboards, stir pasta, etc. I've trained myself to do such tasks with both hands simultaneously and even to throw lefty, but not to any great extent.

The asymmetry isn't all that noticeable...my left bicep bulges more than the right (which is mostly flat) and my goatee is much thinner on the right side.

Honey, you need to get a job. Failing that, a hobby. I know how it is.

This is not a new observation borne out of lack of activity; I've noticed this for a few years now. I've always been a bit of a narcissist and like looking at myself.

I remember something about this, from studying drawing.

It's totally normal and would look very odd otherwise, if you ever saw a picture of someone who was symmetrical.

Most folks never notice, unless it is pointed out to them.

Tis true. Most people have one eye higher than the other, one foot that's larger, uneven breasts, etc. We're all just a few steps away from a picasso.

I don't remember if this was ever proven, but at one point it was believed that because people compensate for disasters, we naturally use the side that is least valuable to us. Say if I fell, I'd throw out my right arm since I do everything with my left.

But for your wing dang doodle, idk man. Stop banging round corners.
