Boss just sent me a creepy emailFollow

Ok, doing the graphics here means I get sent lots of graphic emails from my managers and bosses. Just got a strange one from the General Manager of our company. He was sending a pic of a Vintage Corvette we are giving away at a bar this fall. Somehow he attached it to a BBW Lovers email and forwarded it to me.

Sure enough there is a picture of BBW with a link to their chat/dating site. Right under that, the picture of the Corvette I needed. I have a Reply email up and have gotten as far as What the...

Do I just ignore it, make a joke about it or be afraid?

Would you make an attractive BBW if he put a wig on you?

I got this same email at work Friday and I discovered it when I pulled up Outlook in the middle of a presentation. No one said anything so I'm not sure if they noticed it not.

That was not nearly as embarassing as the time in the late 90s when I accidentally pulled up www.whitehouse.com in front of a class instead of the intended www.whitehouse.gov. I'm not sure if whitehouse.com is still in operation, but back then it was a porno site.

Well, there seems to be SOME level of familiarity there. I would treat it like someone with their zipper down. A nice "Didn't know if you noticed, but..." type of statement should suffice.

---------------------------------

il learn ya a bit.

its not professional. get enough of them, and even if its not personal, you can show a pattern suggesting it is personal.

it IS legally considerd harassment. and any type of personal harassment at work is considered sexual harassment weather it has anything to do with sex or not. for instance, a boss constantly asking you out on a date is sexual harassment, weather he wanted to have sex with you or not.

another example closer to home. an employee intentionally gets his vacation time taken away from him because his immediate supervisor does not like him. believe it or not, that still falls under sexual harassment. any type of personal harassment is sexual harassment.

a group of guys at work trash your locker, and eat your lunch every day. sexual harassment.

the good part, the negative implications of a sexual harassment suit, weather it has anything to do with sex or not, is such a stigma, most companies will settle just to keep it out of court adn thus off of public record.

save them. encourage more. when its time to go, go with a bang.

He didn't send it to me as a joke. I figured it was in his inbox and he had it open for deletion, didn't delete it but forwarded it to me with the intended attachment. This isn't the type of guy that would be "funny" like that. He does run pretty much the whole company.

BBW?

BBWs (acronym for "Big Beautiful Women") are the focus of a vaguely-defined, fairly widespread Internet subculture with interests ranging from size acceptance to force-feeding. Generally defined as an attractive, self-confident "woman of size", the BBW is the subject of much veneration by so-called fat admirers (FA). Exceptionally large women are called SSBBWs, with the SS standing for Super-Size.

Respond and tell him that you saw his website, and you'd really like to meet in person.
