See, for some reason those don't bother me. I sure wouldn't want to meet one, but I don't get that instinctual urge to smash my monitor like i would if it had another pair of legs. huh.

Those hornets are fucking huge! Must be eaier to hit with a baseball bat than regular bees and hornets, which get pissed off and attack when you miss them.

No, you could quite easily confuse them with their cousins which have a slightly more slender head, light brown gastral segments with no to light yellow on the sixth segment.
And about 100 times smaller. Smiley: lol

People are usually not the Japanese giant hornet's prey, but those who have felt its sting describe the pain as excruciating and very painful. Masato Ono, an entomologist at Tamagawa University, near Tokyo, said it's "like a hot nail through my leg."
Does that mean that, sometimes, they are?

I can just see them taking a small Japanese boy to their hive, as he screams for help from Gamera.

And here I thought Samyosho were only in the cartoons.

A huge roach landed on my leg today and I almost broke my knee running away from it. It was actually pretty funny, because I started screaming and Mia (the cutest little copycat) started screaming and waving her arms too.

Haha.
