All I can say is YAY! for new jobs.

Only three weeks left here, then on to bigger and better things!

I was walking down the street, and I saw this guy, and he was like "OMG Buy a Nintendo Wii"...

Or something like that.

Make sure you go out with a bang.

I'm drunk on awesomeness. I'm just so happy right now...my current job has changed so much, I've lost all of my development work and have become a lab tester.

I just found out that I got a nice new job as a senior developer at a smaller company. Much more pay, better benefits, and a more fun place to work.

I can't wait to tell my boss...

You can't bring me down today Neph.

Today I am the king of kings.

Grats Frak!! Do you have to re-locate?
#9 Jul 20 2006 at 2:08 PM Rating: Good
No and yes.

It's a longer drive, but they have a remote office closer to me. I'll split my time between the home office (60 mi from home) and the remote office (20 mi from home) Also, I'll be able to work at home.

Eventually we would think about moving closer, but we love our area so much (out in the country and close to all of our family) that we aren't ready to do that yet.

My heart wasn't really in it.

I still have solace in the fact that my son won't grow up to be a candy necklace-eating raver.

My condolances.

Wow...the son of an overweight graphic designer isn't going to be at any raves?
Shocking.

At least you won't have to worry about him getting any girls pregnant either.

What if he said he was sleeping with your wife? Because that one usually does the trick.
#16 Jul 20 2006 at 2:20 PM Rating: Good
Perhaps we could all get together and sing Danger Zone to help cheer him up.

Congrats, Frakk! Just think, for the next three weeks you get to ***** up as much as you want and say, "What they gonna do? Fire me?" Fun!

Well, no, frankly. It's really no worry. My wife doesn't like metrosexual men.

I've spent the last 4 years ******** off as much as possible. I need to come up with something really good for the last three weeks.

You telling me Neph isn't full-bore-assless-chaps-****? Because I think you're wife might just dig him if my assumption was correct.

Come to work early; stay late. Act as if you're interested in getting some accomplishments under your belt before leaving but insist upon working alone as much as possible. Smile at EVERYONE. You'll have them scared for years as they wonder what sort of trap you laid.

Remember to plant seeds of doubt and insist to everyone you no longer hold any grudges concerning that thing that happened that one time that no one else remembers, until reminded, but you.

That's what I'd do... use up that vacation time. My dad took a 6 month paid vacation (he had lots saved up) and then returned to work for a day and retired...pretty sweet deal
