In a nerdy kind of way.

There's a petrolheads' TV show over here that combines serious reviews of all sorts of car (from family run-arounds to £300,000 italian stallions) with silly car stunts. I think some of you are familiar with Top Gear.

Next week, at a secret location, they're filming what they claim to be their most ambitious stunt yet. It involves a car and rocket engines (BIG rockets), and Air Traffic Control .

And I've been invited to spend two days with the crew while they set up and film the stunt. Smiley: grin

Happy is nobby

Edited to add. This is the last stunt done by the bunch of guys I'm going with

Edited to add.
Bastages! Work commitments > Top Gear Smiley: cry

To me, the quote of that video was:

That was awesome - gonna have to see if that show is aired on BBC America (haven't watched BBC America in a while so I have no idea what shows are on anymore).

That's really cool.

Top Gear is an excellent car show, and usually runs state-side on the Discovery channel. I like the episode where the hosts race to the French Riveria from London, one in a car, two by train, and the guy in the car wins by several minutes.

This Darwin Award comes to mind.

Please be careful around a stund like this. We don't want to see a perfectly good jet engine get hurt because you were in it's way. Er, that's supposed to be the other way around, isn't it? Using the delete key is hard

Have fun! Sounds like it will be a blast.

Even better! Street legal jet powered VW Beetle He even has a jet powered scooter. That'd be cute. I bet DF would love a jet powered scooter to do 200kph on the highways over there!

You do realize the British speak in "english". So mumbling something in British wouldnt be any different from speaking any simple statement/sentence in English... Unless you mean speak drunken in "English Slang" which would be a slightly different situation....

You do realize that you are a complete tool.

I hope the rocket car veers off course and makes a 300km/h appointment with your remaining teeth.

Ok now i'm jealous, Clarkson is a legend in his own Levi's.

Buy him beer for me and tell him it's off the entire Royal Navy, because we think he's f*cking great!

I know I'm not here very often, so would someone kindly fill me in as to if I'm missing something here?

Sidenote: Nexa, I can't believe you like Panic, I know that "I chimed in" part is the chorus, but damn, does he really have to repeat it 50 times?
Since when have you been into boys kissing boys while wearing girl pants?

I like to dance around the house while doing housework. You may picture me wearing sponge shoes to clean the kitchen floor. Panic! is good music for this.

I don't have to picture it; I've seen it. Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?

Update:

Just spent 2 days on location and the experience surpassed any hopes I had.

Can't discuss the content until after the brodcast (due Sep/Oct this year).

Saw outrageous technology at huge expense, merely to make blokes like me point at the TV screen and say "Cool".

Spent several hours chatting with Hammond and May (bastards smoked most of my cigs, but the banter made up for it).

As the location was a military test range, got to take time-outs with the crew in a bunker while Her Majesty's finest tested 1,000lb bombs a mile away.

Enjoyed seeing the Top Gear producer introducing himself to the C.O.
Quote:
"Hi I'm Pat. I make cars do wrong stuff"
"Pleased to meet you. I'm Lt Col. xxxxx. I blow **** up"

Saw HRH Prince Will admiring the set-up.

Got some great footage of the set-up and Hammond & May goofing. Will post after the show airs.
