Bush does endorsements !Follow

#1 Jul 17 2006 at 3:05 PM Rating: Decent
According to the AP:
Quote:
Bush also spoke to other leaders, and his unscripted comments ranged from the serious topic of escalating violence in the Mideast to light banter about his preference for Diet Coke and a gift he received from another leader

And surprise, from Bush ...

Quote:
"See the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this s--- and it's over," Bush told Blair as he chewed on a buttered roll.

I read the transcript and, while it was interesting to glimpse into a private exchange between two world leaders, I don't think anything was overly incriminating or scandalous. Bush blaming Syria for backing Hezbollah isn't exactly something to make one go "Dear GOD!"

It could have been worse. He could have said. "I'm getting tired of these towel heads. We should just nuke 'em and take the damn oil. A little nukular fallout won't hurt the world."

To me that would have been comedic gold.

What do you suppose Blair meant here (this was in regards to Condi's potential Middle East appearance):

Blair : Well, it's only if it's -- I mean, you know, if she's gotta -- or if she needs the ground prepared, as it were. Obviously, if she goes out, she's got to succeed, as it were, whereas I can just go out and talk.

What a delightfully subtle way to ask me to take you to a movie afterward. No sweat, I'll even splurge on popcorn and soda to wash the taste out of your mouth.

Wouldn't the popcorn get cold while you're amidst the ritual before splurging?

That's vile. I don't know why you'd say such a thing; cold popcorn.

Bush talks with his mouth full of food.

I know decent table manners are not a requirement for the presidency but for f'uck sake take a crash course!
