.. a close up of a statue called The Dying Gaul (or is it The Wounded Gaul?) - in any event, I first saw it in a book entitled How the Irish Saved Civilization. So what, you say?

Well, the face on that statue is a dead ringer for me when I was in my twenties... as if I had posed for it. Its friggin' eerie.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled pointless ramblings.

Well I did point out that I looked like the statue when I was in my twenties, and that was quite a while ago, if not nearly enough to make me look like DeGaulle.

Yeah, I was in the Navy at the time, and it wasn't exactly a high-fiber diet.
