-putter in the kitchen, trying out new things while bitching about the insane amount of pots I go through for one small dish

-teach my son to finally ride his bike of doom

- debate whether or not to mow the lawn, then decide ultimately against it

-Grocery shopping is done!
-Plant some flowers that have been trying really hard to die as I neglect them.
-Repot houseplants
-Finish painting the bathroom
-Watch bad movies
-Play with the Hannah monster...who can now climb *headache*
-Chat extensively with a person of interest
-Eat a whole bunch of fruit because I went grocery shopping
-Sleep as little as necessary
-Do a mountain of laundry
-Start filing...I've been putting it off, but the "to be filed" pile is a bit horrifying at this point and I actually need to find some things. Someone come do it for me?
-Fine-tune my procrastination skills...later

Good luck on the house selling, I hear it's pretty stressful!

Thanks, I think we're over the stressful part - getting the house ready. We know the market is tough this year - we figure, we'll try again in the Spring if it doesn't sell this time and in the meantime we can enjoy our house now that it's all spiffied up.

Play Ogame, EQ, maybe a little SWG, Sims

Rub one out.

Drink.

Laundry.

Clean bedroom

See if I can get Nobby to post semi-nude pics of himself with both a banana and a clown.

See if I can't get my PC to play nicely with the programs.

See if I can't get this pesky virus off my PC.

no youre not. Everytime you show your house you have to go through that kind of cleaning again. What you think is mere tidying turns into a 3 hour job each time. It sucks

pregnancy has nothing to do with it. You think you keep your house tidy but when you want to sell your house, you want it perfect each and every time there is a showing. And when you get that call you have a showing the next day you will start off by just "tidying" and end up cleaning for hours.

hahaha, I know, I know, I was just teasing :) I'm like that anytime anyone is coming over. "I'll just do the dishes quickly" turns into "that ceiling needs to be dusted!"

We're really not that worried about it - we keep the house clean, anyhoo. So it's not a big deal. I'm sure we'll be tidying up daily, but we don't consider it stressful. It's something we always do since we have cats. The house is kept so clean that most people are shocked to learn we have any pets.

At this point, the stress will be on the buyer's side if we get an offer. While we would love to move back to California asap, if it doesn't happen at this time it's no biggie. We'll just try again in the Spring.

As for showings, we're not having an open house or anything. There will be a lock box on the door for real estate agents to walk their clients through. Our cats will be in the basement during the day - we've made it really nice for them and it helps that we have a sliding glass door down there for them to get some sunlight and birdwatching.

The stressful part for us was getting things repaired/fixed by the electrician, landscaper, and the water feature/pond-cleaner in time to put the house on the market, as well as us finishing any painting, major cleaning, minor repairs as needed. We're actually thrilled that the house looks great and that we've finally gotten around to fixing things that the previous owners had done to the house that we should have fixed sooner than 2 years later. We're really enjoying Castle Smoggy, for however long we stay here. So it's all good. Smiley: smile

Well I got my goals accomplished for the weekend and then some.

My Suzuki DRZ400SM has a new main jet in the carb, as well as a new needle, a Yoshimur RS3 exhaust system, and a Galfer braided steel brake line.

In addition to getting that done yesterday, I also painted the back of the house (where it had been resided after getting the kitchen redone and adding a couple windows), mowed the lawn front and back, fixed the invisible fence where I ran it over with the lawn mower, drank about a half a gallon of Gatorade, and proceeded to hide inside, away from the heat.

Watch Red Hot Chilli Peppers live at Earls Court, they rocked and the support act sucked in equal measure.

Avoid sunstroke in the oven like conditions in london.. Lots of water and icecream ftw.

Dodge random ladies of the night when strolling through Soho, man dem chicks are UGLY!!

Try not to laugh at the 50 year old woman exposing vast amounts of cleavage to the slightly harried teenager sat opposite her for the entire four hours of the train back home.

The bad news from the weekend: About forty days after getting my car back from the shop, I was hit again in nearly the eaxct same fashion. Flea and I were at a light when someone just plowed into the rear of the car. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt (she's a little sore but already saw a doctor and had a CT scan done), the car damage was pretty minimal and it wasn't my fault -- again.

The other car (a '99 Buick Regal) got the raw end of the deal. She smashed up the front, the hood is folded up and the windshield shattered.

The good news was that the concert was excellent, we staked out a great spot in the grass about 30' feet from the stage and in the shade, ate a wonderful meal and had a good time. After the 'main' show, we went up by the stage as they encored and got to watch Margo Timmins sing her signature "Sweet Jane" cover from ten feet away. Then she came down and spoke to us, shook hands and Flea had her sign our ticket stubs and address them to me.

After Flea and I'd first date where we saw Mary Fahl of October Project fame and then chatted with her and got more autographs, Flea & I are 2-for-2 in amazing concert experiences Smiley: smile

I'm glad you two had a great time at the concert, but sorry about the accident! I hope she's feeling better soon!

I should go to a concert sometime...I hear they're neat.

Thanks for the well-wishes. All I remember thinking afterwards was "OW, GODDAMNIT MY HEAD", but not enough so to go to the expense of an ambulance (it's funny what you think of in those kinds of situations), so Joph drove me over to the friendliest l'il ER in Illinois, and we watched giant anacondas on TV while I tried desperately not to rip off my neck brace. CT scans are neat, I totally wanted another one, but Joph and I had to get back so I could finish putting oil, oregano and vinegar on the tomato slices I was using to top crackers with mozzarella for the concert. I made enough food to feed four, which are my mother's genes kicking in: I hate for folks to go hungry.

I've got a nifty prescription for Tylenol with codeine that I'm sure is as good as currency in some neighborhoods, and a day off work with a doctor's note (which is good, cause ever since they put the tracking software in I'm scared to go onto MySpace for fear my lack of productivity will be showcased and I'll get fired).

No clue and no clue.

The insurance claims person hasn't called yet to set up the estimate and I can't guess at how fast she was moving since I never saw her coming until she went boom. Faster than me, apparently Smiley: grin

It was a 35mph zone, and we were stopped at the last light before the freeway exit (I know you say 'expressway', hater Smiley: mad), and she admits she was in a hurry and didn't see the light change, so I assume she was going at least 35.

It was a minivan, but not Russian lady. She was black.

Weird story: The transporter was chatting with me on our way to the CT, and he congratulated me on coming in to be looked at. He said that his best friend since childhood had been in an accident about a month back, and refused treatment. He went home because he felt fine. Four days later his mother found him dead in his bedroom. Turns out he had internal bleeding and never knew.

Of course I had to find out the signs of internal bleeding and make sure Joph knew them, since he said he felt fine as well.
