Having a preocupation with Iraq? Strategically speaking, having 150,000+ soldiers already in the region, with airbases setup, navy in the waters, is a bad thing? If an all out war breaks out in the ME, I can't think of any better a position for us to be in.

How about nuking the whole site from orbit?

It's the only way to be sure.

Umm...I don't understand what you're getting at here. I was just pointing out that to act like we're in a weakened position militarily because of Iraq is silly. I'm not out for wiping the Middle East off the map or looking forward to all out war there. However, running scared diplomatically when we really don't hold a bad hand is what I was worried about.

Just trying to put a little halter on the doomsday panic is all.

And focus on CNN has shifted away from the fighting going on over there, instead focusing about the president saying "shIt" in public.

What of Tony's response? No media coevrage pertaining to:

I dunno, my geek alarm is going off a little.. Are you sure that is was Wierzbowski who said that? Wasn't he a white guy who later died during the first incursion in the hive, wehn you can see all of thier named helmet cams fuzz out? I'm pretty sure it was a black guy who said that.

but the full quote should be "I guess, she don't like the cornbread either"

According to this script, you're wrong.

Actually, reading that, Wierzbowski got more lines than I gave him credit for.

Apparently though that's a first draft of the script. It's also missing some of the 'Arcturan poontang' dialogue. Nothing to do now but watch the movie tonight...

You are correct, sir!

Apparently, all of Wierzbowski's lines were stolen from him in the final script. All he gets to do is scream as he eats a face full of explosion. Yet another example of a ****** getting the shaft Smiley: mad

There will always be Bill Paxton as Hudson, the ever-optimistic marine:
"You maybe haven't been keeping up on current events but we just got our asses kicked, pal!"

My personal favorite, after the drop-ship crashes:
"Well that's great, that's just fuckin' great man. Now what the fuck are we supposed to do? We're in some real pretty shit now man... That's it man, game over man, game over!"

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran's Hizbollah, which claims links to the Lebanese group of the same name, said on Tuesday it stood ready to attack Israeli and U.S. interests worldwide.

"We have 2,000 volunteers who have registered since last year," said Iranian Hizbollah's spokesman Mojtaba Bigdeli, speaking by telephone from the central seminary city of Qom.

"They have been trained and they can become fully armed. We are ready to dispatch them to every corner of the world to jeopardise Israel and America's interests. We are only waiting for the Supreme Leader's green light to take action. If America wants to ignite World War Three ... we welcome it," he said.

I'm not a big history buff of how strong of a military force Hizbollah has. But wouldn't we wipe the floor with them?

It depends, really, on how many of those 2,000 are carrying suitcase nukes...

They're recruiting martyrs, so it's not a military force, in the traditional sense. Rather than wipe the floor with them, one would be more apt to wipe them off the floor...and the walls and the ceiling, etc.

The real thing I take away from this article is something I've wondered for some time. Does anyone author more ominous dooms-day rhetoric than these guys? They're incredible. Supreme Leader's green light? That's brilliant. I feel like Darth Vader is all up on Hizbollah's tip. You, creative writer for the Hizzy, are a genious.

According to the International Institute of Strategic Studies (Mostly retired Mi6/CIA and Mil Int Generals) if you add the forces of Syria and Iran with Hizb'ollah, you have something to give the Israelis a run for their money.

They also (in depth interview today) said that Syria and Iran are almost certain to buddy up with the Lebanese if Israel doesn't step off the gas soon.

We're all going to die!

Wheeeee! Smiley: clap

If it escalates enough, I'm sure North Korea, Russia, and China will jump in and then we're really fucked.

nothing to really worry about just yet. all they have is fairly weak un accurate missles. the enevitable result will be Israel leveling a few major cities in lebonon, and lebonon not doing really any significant damage to israel.

it is more about causing terror than destroying Israel.

as long as Syeria doesnt get directly involved, and Iran doesnt start shipping them mass quantities of more powerfull and accurate weapons, the end result is already written in stone. devastated lebonon, wounded Israel.

if Syera and Iran get openly directly involved.........bad bad bad. pakistan, irreguardless of their alliance with us, will side with syeria, Jordan will too. it could end up in a really bad way.

inspite of the bravado, syeria would be a serious threat to Israel. if Iran gets directly involved and starts a second front with Hamas, we would have to get directly involved to protect Israel. if we get directly involved in open warfare with both Syeria and Iran, Jordan and pakistan will turn on us. if that happens, Saudi Arabia would be hard pressed to support us against the vast majority of their population, no matter how many princes we pay off.

it could escalate into us and Israel against the entire middle east. no matter who wins, Israel would be almost totally destroyed if not completly destroyed.

if israel sees this as ineviatable, they WILL nuke iran, mabe Syeria too. pakistan WILL nuke Israel. we WILL nuke Pakistan.

then the worst would happen. gas prices would go over 10 dollars a gallon or higher and we would loose our SUV,s. americans would then be directly affected by "those people over there", and mabe start paying attention to what the idiots we elected have done to not only our country, but the rest of the world too.

then mabe we can start cleaning up the mess WE created.

yes, WE.

it is our stupid ***** that politically pushed Syeria into withdrawing from Lebonon, which immediatly resulted in the escalation of hostilities towards Israel which were halted in the early 90,s when Syiera and the League of Arabs took controll of Lebonon to end their constant state of civil war and hostilities towards Israel to begine with.

so, lets recount. we tossed hussin out and turned iraq into a friggin mess, then pressured Syeria out of lebonon resulting in this currant mess.

the moral majority working...hard...for you.
