Its just that my rate bot can't keep up. I was at 3.17 2 days ago and now I'm down to 3.04, and I haven't even been in any controversial threads. I've been being nice and safe with my posts.

Karma's a joke. My advice? You need a 'fá»±ck it all' attitude. Karma won't change who you are. If you think everyone has to like you then you're in for a big suprise. No matter who you are or what you do somebody somewhere is going to hate you. That's life. The problem comes when you actually give a **** about it and it starts to affect you.

He's right you know. I haven't rated you down or anything, you can as Kao or Dana, and I kind of like your avatar, but I hate you. You really shouldn't give a **** about karma here, unless you want to start thread about it then it's cool. Bonus points if you start a thread in the Forum Feedback first, then start another one here with a possible link to the original.
Meh, I just want to be able to rate up those who answer newbies questions. The system is flawed, if I answer 1000 newbies questions in different thread how many times am I gonna get rated up for it? Probly never, even though my responses are helpful.

The problem is you care about it. It means nothing. How is it flawed? In general the system works fine. Stupid posts get sub-ed and good ones get above the filter. What more can you ask for?
Also you can't ***** about a system being flawed when you're part of the problem (your ratebot).

Por ejemplo: SeomanP, he can be a bit whiney sometimes and he had a really stupid avatar that I was convinced was him fully dorked out in a StarTrek outfit but generally speaking his posts were good. He was a scholar at the time.
I only use my ratebot on myself and only to keep me above 3.00. The system isn't broken but it is flawed. Its more a popularity thing than a good posts vs bad posts things. I can be having a discussion with somone with well thought out and researched posts but I'll get rated down simply because I disagree with somone or they don't like me.
I randomly rated 2/3 of the posts in this thread. Either up or down depending on which way my finger decided to scroll.

You can get rated down cuz the grass is green and the sky is blue. And just because you only use your ratebot on yourself doesn't make it okay. You're still abusing the very system you're whining about being abused. Ratebots are for pá»±ssies. Between your abuse of a rate bot and someone karma kamping you it sounds to me like it's all evened out. Looks the system does work.
