While in England I drooled over the MG's. NOW, I may be able to buy one locally and not have to go to England to get it! Smiley: sly However, I have no problems visiting England on a regular basis...

Edit to add pic linky

MG's have always been a cool little car. Around here you can buy one for about $1500 USD. Unfortunately, the parts are a ***** to get. Perhaps that plant opening will improve the availablilty of parts and make them a bit more economical.

My first car was a late sixties or early seventies MG Midget; the year eludes me this morning. I was sixteen and it was what I learne to drive in, and it was a certified death-trap. My insurance agent refused to write a policy for it, and I ended up selling it and buying a Subaru. I miss that Midget, it was a magnet for the poon, for sure.

One Smart Car on each foot, and one on the end of my Pimp Cane, matching the color of the feather in my hat.

Holy Jesus. Can you imagine getting hit by a big ol' Chevy pickup in one of those things? You might as well buy a grave plot after signing the title on one of those.

Heh. I could see a company saying, "These small, efficient cars are a great idea. Let's bring them to the states."

Then somebody says "Hmm...it doesn't have a cupholder. Let's add that to the design. And while we're at it, might as well give it more leg room. And a Hemi..."

And then somehow when the thing goes to market, it's been turned into a bigger version of a Hummer.
