but at least this version of The Wicker Man seems to have retained the creepyness factor going.

it really won't be even remotely the same without Christopher Lee

I mean just look at his HAIR!

Customer: Do you have "The Wicker Man"
Me: Yeah, it's over in horror. *points*

5 mins later

Customer: I didn't find it.
Me: Weird, it says we have one in.
Customer: Oh, I mean, that one wasn't it.
Me: But it's called "Wicker Man"?
Customer: No, it's the one where Robin Williams plays a homeless guy...
Me: "The Fisher King"?
Customer: Yeah, that's it.

Heh, I thought I was the only person in the world who'd ever seen the original. The remake looks like it could be decent.

I remember the frog scene and that it turned my stomach.

I got The Wicker Man mixed up with The Straw Dogs
- they are both set in Rural England
- Wicker is very close to Straw.
- Susan George was the hot.

The Straw Dogs would be a ripe movie to remake, not many know of it today, and its a nice violent drama. Wikipedia has a nice page on it, one intersting triva note on it "In its original release, some American movie theatres would screen the film with short breaks after the violent sequences so the audience could recover (or leave the film altogether). "

seems more like a sequal. I wonder if Lee will have a cameo.. he doesn't look much different.

I'm pretty sure the original takes place in Scotland.
