One of my oldest friend's father is a taxidermist on the side. I remember spending nights over there and heading down into the basement where you could find any number of partially or fully stuffed dead animals. He just recently remodeled his living room to look not entirely unlike what you would expect a museum exhibit featuring the wildlife of the Northeastern US to look like. Deer(heads, antlers, full standing doe, etc.), skunk, snakes, fish, porcupine(not sure if that's indigenous to this region), a bear, fox, possum, various wild fowl, 'coons, among other things. IIRC he shot, arrowed, or hooked all of those things himself.
Dead stuff doesn't really bother me that much.
