All right, haters. What's the issue now? The site keeps flipping back and forth between ads and the "Welcome Atomicflea" screen, plus I'm posting into a void even more so than usual. Can't you pick a work week when I'm actually busy to crap out?

I may not have the ability, but the thought is there.

Speaking of which, I made a thread in the forum feedback asking for any info from the admins or allah, since I had posted a question roughly 2 weeks ago that has gone unanswered. I would really LOVE to renew premium but I just cant until there is some acknolwedgement on the higher ups part.

Fucking slackers

Just got here this morning and yup, my morning cup of Alla is already spilling over. I'll take it as a sign to get to work.

Have you deleted your cookies?

I've had that before and deleting cookies solved it.

You sure the popups are from the actuall Allakhazam site? Adware can make a popup come on your screen the moment it detects net and doesn't even require you to browse. Others wait for you to flip onto a website and make it look like the site you are viewing has ads.

The actual banners on the site, I can't really explain. Try logging out and logging back in so that the site gives you a new cookie.

Nah. If you want to stick your tongue out at me, get premium!
As for ha-ha'ing me, it's not like I expect this POS to ever work, I'm just annoyed when it doesn't---I reserve that right.
<-----Premium is just the price I pay to bring you all this ugly mutt.

I did that about an hour ago, and it helped for about an hour. I'm not that pissed, it just makes for a good excuse to insult the admins.

Atomicflea: Has anything changed in your setup recently? Are you behind a proxy perhaps?

DSD: What's the url for the thread you posted 2 weeks ago? I think all the programmers have had our heads down the last few weeks trying to get a few spanky new features finished up.

Nothing that I know of. Posting from work, so I suppose SOMETHING could have changed, but I'll be darned if I know.

Atomicflea, it's possible that you are now going through a proxy at work. If someone else is viewing the forums as well and aren't logged in/don't have premium the pages they viewed could be cached on the proxy server. Then when you go to view them, it's the cached page that would come up.

I haven't had a problem with this at all, so I can't duplicate it to figure it out if it's a problem on our end.

It was posted in the zam.com Q&A thread in the forum feedback, the stickied one on top. Page 21 4th post from the bottom, posted June 19th.

Last time I got a pop-up was when I teed up too high for my 3-wood.

Actually, that's not true. I got a pop-up and a banner a few weeks ago when I was switching over to Firefox.

I've noticed that problems "happen" more often when work is slow and you're hammering refresh on the site for hours during the day. Smiley: laugh

I had been having a similar problem from work as well...however not as frequently on this site as others where my "auto-login" features are not retaining. Seems to be cookie-related, although I'm not entirely sure since my PC security settings are not entirely viewable from my local PC. It's only happened one or two times over the last 2-3 weeks however here on Alla. The other sites, when the browser closes, the cookies reset and I lose retained settings for auto-login.

Let's just blame it on work, though. Seems to be the logical place to place it. Smiley: motz
