I just don't get it, I guess. Why anybody would want to have a large demographic of people around who like nothing better than to kill you for being Western is utterly beyond me. Each of you who espouse this view keep wishfully thinking that if only we were nicey-nice to them they'll eventually come to love us simply doesn't understand the region's mindset. Heh, by way of example, these were people who facilitated and supported the ***** during WW2. Talk about backing the wrong team! How twisted do you have to be to actively encourage blood thirsty Teutonic fascists to win a global war, lol?
It's like this whole Palestinian/Israeli brouhaha going on right now. All those dumba$$es have to do is give back that Jewish corporal and stop blowing things up in Israel and they could step right into the 21st century and join the human race with all its' wealth and luxuries. No more crapping in benjo ditches outside your house, you can have indoor plumbing! No more wondering if you will have enough food to feed your family, you can have a secure well paying job! And the list goes on and on. But no, they think for some unfathomable reason that Israel somehow took their land. Wtf? Did the Pallys suffer large scale memory loss and forget it was the Arabs who didn't let them own land or have their own country?
