The quantity of interesting and/or entertaining posts is inversely proportionate to the amount of time you have available to spend posting.

...And there's a total of four people in my workplace today. Smiley: dubious

Are they all crowding around the deep fryer? Cuz you could 'accidently' push one in. That would make things a little more interesting.

Today is the first day back from my vacation to Kaua'i. I should have just taken today off as well.

I'm currently trying to edit a Publisher document in Word. Fun times.

I hate you, text runaround!

Smiley: oyvey Why didn't you? And how was your frolicking trip to the land of beaches and sun?

I took this pic over the weekend, but it probably isn't that interesting to you since you live there.

I like this one too.

I WISH I was doing it in Publisher! I'm in Word b/c if I try to import it there it falls into 5 million pieces, and we're a Public Hospital with no funds to even outsource the POS, much less buy a decent layout program to redo a dinky bilingual handbook that has all of a sudden become priority #1 to update and reissue. Smiley: mad

Grrr... I'm gonna have to re-lay it out.

I'm telling you Adobe kicks ***. I'm currently updating some brochures and marketing materials with inDesign. Microsoft can kiss my *** in the graphics area.

Trying to remake a doc that needs to be updated without spending a dime or working at home. If you want to donate a legal, original copy of Adobe, let me know. I'm not about to bring in mine from home.Smiley: dubious
Edit b/c this stupid goddamn website acted like it didn't post my last reply. I worked graphic design for years, and I know Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker and Quark like the back of my hand. You're preaching to the converted as far as their superiority, but Publisher is what my work has, so I'm making it work.

Just download the free trial. Then after that it will be necessary for further updates and they'll have to buy a copy of it.

Sorry but I'm pro-Adobe I think I'm addicted.

Riiiight. Like I have the admin priviliges to download something of that nature. You forget, I work at a hospital. PCs are locked up tighter than a Mormon girl's panties, due to the nature of the info we carry. We are also a public institution whose patients are almost exclusively Medicaid, so we don't spend $$$ for non-essential items, which Adobe Pagemaker would fall under.

Actually, Pagemaker is one of their crappier programs. I'd take Quark over it any day.

Amen.

We're still on Quark here, because upper management is stupid cheap and we're still using OS9. When (if) we ever make the jump into the 21st century and get OSX, we're switching to InDesign.
