We are opened on Monday, but I took the day off. Hubby only has Saturday and Sunday off sadly. Maybe do lunch and a movie on Saturday. Most of Texas is under a burn ban, so no fireworks unless we want to drive into the city and cram in with thousands of other people to see a fireworks show.

Off to do some back country camping. You know, the kind where even if the cell phone did work the pizza delivery dude would have to hike in for over an hour to deliver.
We Canucks only get the Monday off here. Goin' golfing then drinkin'.

Heh, Tare, if my husband hadn't gone to Iraq when he did, we would have the same anniversary. We went to a JP when we found out he was deploying in June just before.
And what am I doing the 4th? Well, I just got word my husband is in Kuwait!!!! I was so happy. He is flying into Memphis on Sunday morning. Sunday night I plan to take him to this juke joint out in the county for blues music, Monday we are going to a blues festival and picnic, and on the 4th my family is having a barbecue. Then Wednesday we go to Orlando. Somwhere in all of this, I am going to have lots and lots and lots of sex.

Wow, the 3rd is a popular day to get hitched! We went to Vegas and had a shotgun wedding.

The fact that you get a day off at all for an American holiday is pretty funny.

Since Canada Day is today (July 1st), most companies give their stat holiday on the monday.
