I was just informed that my office is closed on the 3rd and 4th of July, so I have a four day weekend. Smiley: yippee

I don't really have much planned on the 4th, maybe light up a few sparklers while I game (I like to live life dangerously.) What do you all have planned for the 4th? You get the day off? How about the day before it?

Nope, I work at a hospital. We're open 24/7, 365. I get the 4th off because I'm management, but one of my flunkies has to work and I'll be fully staffed on the 3rd.

Heres to hoping you get run off the road.

Lucky you with the 4 Day weekend. I have Tuesday off not Monday but every ******* tourist coming down has a 4 day weekend.

Smiley: inlove traffic

I also have a 4-day weekend. I've got a couple friends coming in from out of town, unfortunately they'll only be here one day. I also have a Tom Petty/Pearl Jam concert Monday night which should be a blast. Our company is having a "Wine-down" starting at noon today, and we're also having a going away party for my co-worker at 3, so I should be pretty much in the bag by 5pm give or take.

Speaking of long weekends, I think some of you Americans should travel up to Fort Erie for the frendship festial being held at the Canada/US border. I'll buy you a beer.

One of my best friends from highschool is coming up from NYC so hes coming over with a couple other good friends for a bbq on Sunday. Its also hubbys 30th on Sunday as well as the ten year mark we've been an item. Sunday night we're leaving for Vermont for a day, then watching fireworks at our normal spot.

Yeah, my fave is the concerts. I've seen David Wilcox (back at frosh week in college) and The Practically Hip (really good tragically hip cover band who plays at Friday 13th bashes in Port Dover) before. Both are good shows and for the past 5 years, the concerts have been no-charge.

Link to concerts page.

I wonder if my kids are going.

I've been waiting for the next ego likeness concert to go down to Nations with them. They have 2 Cd's coming out in July I want. I used to go on Goth Nights at the Orpheus when Steve Archer when was DJ.

Edit because I check it out a bit more and now I'm hoping to catch a ride with kids and leave Jonwin to deal with the tourist in town.

Working part of today, working part of Monday and possibly working for a few hours on the 4th as well. Smiley: frown And I still need to cram in my schoolwork somehow since all my instructors said "It's only Tuesday the 4th that is the holiday. The Friday and Monday prior are still regular days." Bah. I hope they sit on something sharp.

He's been in the asylum channel since day 1 but his name is Streetkid there, or SK. Anything you want to know about the game, hes the one to ask.

I'm off Monday as well, so I'll be enjoying a 4-day weekend. Some of our planned highlights include:

- Seeing the Superman movie.

- The nightly Walk of Woe - we do a two-mile walk each night (I've dropped 10 lbs. already). Just call me Pete Schwety...Smiley: yikes

- Cleaning the house from top to bottom in preparation of our real estate agent coming out to assess our house and determine when we'll be able to put it on the market.

- Hired someone to come out and clean our pond (water feature) and get it to work properly. It's more like a swamp than a pond...bullfrog included!

- Paint the new sections of wall and ceiling of our basement that was repaired after a pipe leak. Also known as the last painting to be done in our house! Smiley: yippee

- EQ2 on Blackburrow!! ...When my wife is off raiding in WoW...Smiley: grin

- My wife and I have a little deal - she's agreed to play EQ2 with me on the Antonia Bayle RP server a little bit each week (she prefers RP servers). She plays a Half Elf Monk and I play a Half Elf Swashie. In return, I rolled a gnome warrior (I shall call him...Whiffy!) on her WoW server (Feathermoon) to play with her gnome mage. (Honestly, I prefer EQ2 over WoW - but gotta keep things harmonius at Castle Smoggy). Smiley: king
