...Snickers really satisifies!
The Chicago Tribune wrote:
Officials at the Chicago Public Health Department said they took the rarely used step of closing the M&M Mars Inc. candy factory on the city's West Side after the company did not correct problems discovered during a June 21 inspection.

Those problems include a fruit fly infestation in the candymaking area and gaps in overhead doors that could allow rodents and insects access to the production area. Inspectors also reported finding mouse ***** in the food processing area and food items improperly stored on the floor rather than elevated.

The Oak Park Avenue plant produces Snickers, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way and Mars candy bars.
Sounds like a good day to eat a nice apple.

I was wondering when and why they started putting raisins in Snickers. It seemed out of place.

See, I think of student loans as digging a foundation that you can build something strong and study out of. That's a worthwhile endeavor. I just find myself digging six foot ditches at a time, and trying to fill it in and climb out without burying myself in the process.

Oh, I borrowed MUCH less than the average student, and my interest rates are low. I also worked throughout to pay for books, gas, and basic living costs. Even so, four years, if only for tuition, will rack up some kind of debt.

I don't regret it. I'm proud of myself for doing it.

Oh, of course. It's a much better way to live than I do. If I wasn't such a dumbass I would have tried to go to school too. Hell, I'd try it now, but I've still got a lot of digging to do first.

Hopefully you consolidated to lock in the low rates!

Crazy economist and their 2% hikes...

Wife and I heard the rumor about a month ago and consolidated our loans, good thing too, the rush to do it these last few days has made it almost impossible to ask our lender a question about our loans. Can't get through over the phone lines.

Oh, I consolidated right before I had to make my first payment and locked in at 5%. I graduated college back in '01.

I almost just threw away a couple hundred bucks by getting the start date of my 2nd term summer class wrong. Turns out it started this last Tuesday so I missed two classes and the instructor drops you if you miss more than one. Luckily, I had the same instructor for my 1st term summer class (ended on the 22nd) and am probably getting something like a 110% in it so I called with my tail between my legs and asked if I could still take the class and try and catch up. I got a stern rebuke and a warning that any absence now would fail me but I'm still in Smiley: grin

No excuses though for my lapse of thought in the start date. That was just plain stupid of me.

My student loans probably equal all yours together. I could have purchased a nice house with the loans and interest!
