Was it the jeans+tie combo or the cowboy hat that turned you on?

Its from some Tenn. newspaper site, they had teens from around the state submit their Prom pictures (a lot of parents sent them in also). There are a ton of basic Prom pics with normal lookin folks. This group though, strayed from the pack.

What I like best is the girl on the right is wearing a rebel flag as a dress and you know the guys are astoute rednecks. If you flip through the pictures, you'd swear that they were the few rednecks amongst what seems to be a predominantly black high school. Smiley: lol

Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute seems to be the redneck magnet school while Antioch High School is predominantly black. Segregation ftw!

Segregation is not necessarily a bad thing if it lets everyone get along and have a safe learning environment. Regardless of colour, creed or religion, it is NOT GOOD to be a minority in a group. Also, at the teenage level it is dangerous to have 2 clear cut factions occupying hte same space. That's like asking for a turf war.

I don't have to like it, I just know that thems the facts.

True. The Board of Education of Topeka taught us that it is OK to be separate as long as both facilities are equal.

Check out the mortified look on this gal's face.

You know what? I may have grown up in Mississippi, but I swear I didn't go to high school with anyone that looked remotely like this. These people are like what you hear the south is like, but don't quite believe it.

And some of those dresses? It is like girrrl...what -are- you thinking?

Think she's having second thoughts? "Damn it...this dress cost so much though...oh well, maybe someone normal will be there that I can dance with."
